Joyful confusion

Joel flew over to Chromia as soon as Scott logged on a day after his and Jimmy's interaction. He'd been AFK at his gold farm in order to not look suspicious to Jimmy or anyone else that logged on for staying on that long.

It took about six hours for him to log on like seriously Scott! What was he doing?!

But Joel shook it off and immediately left that position as soon as he saw the scotsman join, stretching his wings and muscles from them being still so long before leaving and traveling through Scott's portal, shrinking to fit through.

"Scott!!"

"Joel!! You scared me. Jesus. Can't a man at least be on for a few minutes before getting ambushed?"

"Sorry Scott but I need to talk to you."

"Okay. Why me specifically?"

"Because you've basically became the person to go to about me and Jimmy."

"Ah. I see now. So what happened this time?" Scott placed a hand on his hip and stared at Joel almost tiredly, although not quite there, though definitely as though he was too tired to deal with any bullshit today.

"Basically Jimmy came and talked to me and we're friends now I guess?" Joel rushed out

"I- Okay what and when-"

"Ok at one point me and Jimmy were the only ones online and then we spoke and he apologised. He didn't have his gun on him and I said I forgave him and then now we're friends. Oh and we pranked Fwhip."

The Scottsman sighed. "I'm too ill to deal with whatever the hell this," he waved his hand around a bit when saying 'this', "is but just keep an eye on him yeah? Now you're friends he might start socialing again. But now can I please get back to my llamas? I'm sick and my best friends are the best cure."

Joel had only now picked up on the fact his voice was slightly deeper than normal, and he sounded a lot more drained then usual too.

"Sure. Sorry to bother you then. But hope you get better soon."

"Thanks. Honestly this illness is just annoying now."

Joel gave him an apologetic smile then flew off back to Stratos, not wanting to bother him any longer. When Scott was ill, it really was best to let him deal with it, and not bother him with other things. He had learned that the hard way a long time ago.

The god landed and thought over the events of the day. He knew that False and Scott went around to warn people to be careful around Jimmy, or at least, those were their jobs assigned so it would be most likely they had.

And he also knew that Jimmy was probably isolating himself from what Scott said after he well- shot him.

It was weird for Joel to think that that had happened a few weeks ago. It seemed a lot more recent than that to the god.

He was confused, to say the least. Joel didn't expect the confrontation, and even if he had, he wouldn't of expected it to go like that. He was glad it did though.

They'd worked things out and that was that.

He didn't think his and Jimmy's friendship would be the exact same, that's for sure. He'd be calling him a toy a lot less. Actually probably not at all. He didn't want a repeat of that.

Jimmy was always so calm, and sure he'd yell back but he'd always keep his cool when it came to engaging in conflict and combat, he rarely ever got involved. He was easy to tease and Joel thought he'd understand that it was just a joke.

So seeing him lash out and his eyes go fucking green for some reason, it was shocking, to say the least.

He was confused throughout the period of not speaking to Jimmy, and even more so when they had established he was possessed by something.

And he was further confused at the events of that day, at how they'd gone from not even seeing one another to basically best friends in a short amount of time.

It was confusing sure, but he'd be lying if he said he wasn't happy about it.

Jimmy may prove to be a good ally, he was just an easy target for the god's teasing and said god had never expected Jimmy to have him this confused.

He knew they were friends now though,  and he really was glad. He didn't think having enemies was too good for him, even if he was tall and sexy and strong and 11 feet tall because he's a God-

But he somehow managed to kill him. Him. A god. God's have more health and more resistance than regular players, but not many people knew that. So what the hell did Jimmy have in that gun to render him useless and not be able to escape.

He thinks it was the eyes. As soon as his eyes turned green he froze. Because he knew that wasn't Jimmy, but didn't know who it was.

That man was gonna be the death of him. He already had been once, what's to say he won't be again.

Still. They were friends now and they'd settled their differences. That's what was important.

Joel sighed contently and stretched his wings, preparing to fly. He gave them one last flap before launching into the air, gliding softly through the small breeze in the air.

He smiled to himself as he flew the short distance to see the great bridge with the branch for each empire, only a few now remaining empty.

He looked between the builds, the llama from Chromia, his own floating island, the Tumble Town water tower, the airship for Cogsmeade, the sword of Sanctuary, and the other rather small but beautiful builds, except for Pirate Joe's parrot of course which was bigger than any other outpost but that wasn't important to talk about.

However, Joel stopped in his tracks when he saw something in the cliff near to the bridge. Something new. Something purple. It didn't look safe but it did look mystical. Great, another thing to confuse him.

He landed just next to it, eyeing the rails which seemed to be leading directly into whatever the hell it was. He found it hard to believe that they weren't placed by someone else, but he couldn't be sure, since if someone else had been there they probably would have alerted the rest of the server, right?

He shook his head to clear his thoughts a bit.

'Should I send something in?' He pondered to himself, but decided against sending anything through. He didn't know what this thing was. 'But at the same time, I'm a God and there's nobody here to stop me.'

So he did what any logical person would, and threw in the remaining sherrif toys from his enderchest before Jimmy realized that he had some left.

And as soon as the slightest bit of fabric touched the mystery purple crack, the toy disappeared. Well that's one way to dispose of something.

He felt wrong calling it a crack. It had a sort of portal feel to it. But not a portal players can go through, or know where it leads. A rift sounds about right.

He shook his head and flew up again, deciding to ignore the mystery rift and continue on his journey to visit Tumble Town.

Since him and Jimmy were friends now, he felt like leaving up the pranks he gave him wouldn't really be good for him. Also, he didn't want to get shot again so this probably gave him bonus points being on his good side.

Have to say, it's so funny to me seeing people continue to read and vote on the old version of this.
Especially because some people have recently added it to flower husbands collections, and even did that before I started rewriting it, and that's even funnier to me because I've never had any plans to include Flower husbands to this fic lmao. Sorry if that's disappointing to anyone! Wanted to say this now because I don't wanna get people's hopes up for something that's not gonna happen-<3
