Talk

"So," Scott started "I hope you both know why I wanted you both here."

Him, Joel and False were all sat on the cliff like edge of Chromia which led down to where the emperor's enchanting table sat on a small island surrounded by water.

"Uhm- not really?" False admitted

Scott nodded in understanding at False, and then looked at Joel carefully when he next spoke, knowing this was a touchy, yet important, subject from previous interactions.

"That's fine False. I wanted to talk to you both about an event that happened when just you two and one other person was online. The event involving Joel and- and Jimmy." His voice wobbled slightly before saying Jimmy's name, out of concern for Joel, before solidifying it again when he did say it, looking at Joel carefully.

He saw False look to Joel as well after he said Jimmy's name. Their hearts practically broke when they saw what his reaction to just hearing Jimmy's name was.

His breath hitched, his whole body tensed up and he was slightly shaking.

He had never shown that much fear for anyone or anything, not in all the years Scott had known him, and especially not in all the time on their current server of Empires where he was a literal 11ft tall god of all things, and so him tensing up and visibly panicking at the mention of a name- of someone he used to tease for that matter, and had also known for years upon years- was really unsual for him, and upsetting to see for Scott. False hadn't known him as long, but she clearly could tell his reaction was out of the ordinary for him. He always seemed so...confident and proud to False, not fragile and broken like he appeared then.

"Joel. I don't know exactly what happened, but I spoke to him and he said he didn't know what you could be on about. That's an obvious lie. At one point when I mentioned talking to you, False, he zoned out for about five minutes. And that's just the start."

False sighed and placed a hand on Joel's arm.

"What did you gather? Joel was incredibly shaken up from what happened, he was a lot more put together when he got to mine but by the time we'd finished speaking and processing things, well, let's just say he was worse than this. So I don't know if he wants to speak just yet, and I don't think it's my place to tell you."

"Holy shit. Yeah okay. I'll speak first then."

Then he started talking, he told them about Jimmy's increased ability to lie- how he could only just tell he was lying to his face, the fact he acted as though he didn't know what Joel could have been on about, the way he acted when False was mentioned, how he said she probably couldn't say anything about it, and then what happened after Scott "left", him talking to someone or something, and that something got him to swear and wanted him to shoot fWhip.

"So basically, Jimmy might be insane. He was speaking to some random person or thing and he even swore at one point which isn't like him, and then he said- and I quote- 'I'm not going to shoot fWhip'. So whoever or whatever it is wants him to shoot fWhip for some reason. And I kind of pieced together that he might of shot you Joel..." Scott finished, trailing off on his last sentence, careful of how he spoke every word. The last thing he wanted was to say something wrong, or for something to come out the wrong way. Especially speaking about such a recent, sensitive topic for Joel

Joel had shifted positions throughout Scott's speech. He'd used his godly powers to shrink to a height closer to Scott and False's own and was now being reassured by False that everything was alright and that he could speak about it when he was comfortable, if he wanted to speak at all.

Then Joel spoke for the first time since they'd sat down.

"Yeah. He shot me. And his eyes- green."

Those eight words were all he was able to swallow saying before he shut up again, nodding to False then staring at the floor.

"Are you sure Joel?"

He nodded at her again, but didn't look up to face her.

"Ok," The blonde turned to face Scott "you were right about Jimmy shooting Joel. I'm guessing Joel broke his dam or something, I'm not sure. I wasn't actually there for the event obviously, I only know what Joel shared with me. But the last words there, his eyes are normally brown yeah?"

"They are, what does that-" Scott cut himself off as he connected the dots "Were his eyes green..?"

"You got it." False nodded

"So at least we know it probably wasn't Jimmy then."

"What?"

"If his eyes were green, clearly he most likely wasn't the one in control. Something or someone took over. And I'm guessing that whatever took over Jimmy in that moment, was the same thing he was talking to and the one that wanted him to shoot Fwhip."

"So you mean he got possessed?"

"Exactly. Either he was possessed, or something else has disguised as him, which given everything else-like the talking- is unlikely."

Joel spoke up again.

"What would it of been though? That possessed him, I mean." His voice was slightly shaky, but he seemed to be more comfortable now, and there was more confidence in his voice than earlier.

"I'm not sure. All I know is that Jimmy isn't himself. I think Joel did break Jimmy's dam, as you said False, and now something is trying to take over him, or more specifically, his brain."

They both nodded in acknowledgement and Scott smiled at them.

"So now we've settled on the fact that Jimmy might be getting possessed, what do we do now?"

"How do you say that so calmly!?" Both of them asked at the same time, Joel with confusion and False with exclamation.

"My eye got stolen by a skull, I live next to a god, said god being sat right here, there's a witch on this server who lives in a haunted swamp, I've dealt with other serious stuff, there's a goblin who used to be a human. False you literally appeared from nowhere and woke up in a bed in this entirely new to you place then started running an empire. And that's not even all of it."

"Y'know what, fair enough." False said, while Joel shrugged in response.

"Right. Now let's come up with a plan for what to do about our discovery."

Joel and False nodded and then the three started listing ideas and plans. They eventually settled on Scott going to warn fWhip that Jimmy might be out for him and False having the biggest job of telling everyone else to look out for Jimmy, warning them not to piss him off and to run if his eyes go green, and saying to go to Scott, Joel or herself for more information if needed.

"Right but what should I do?" Joel asked after they'd sorted out their plans.

"Jimmy is going to come talk to you to make things up. He said not to tell you but I figured you should definitely get a heads up. If he tries anything then make an excuse to go to Chromia if I'm online, or jusy fly far away, potentially go to the nether to escape quicker. I hope if you two work things out though then he might be able to regain his control over whatever turned his eyes green."

"Right. Thanks for the warning."

"Of course. I think you two should go now though, I'm not trying to get rid of you of course, I just feel like we've discussed everything important. If either of you need something or feel as though something else needs discussing then feel free to come talk to me, or each other even."

False nodded. "Alright, will do. I'll see you two later then." She waved and flew off to go back to her empire.

Joel stood up and shifted back to his original size before flying up to reach the level where he could land on upper Stratos.

Scott neatened his hair, hat, and clothes after the wind from Joel's wings blew everything out of proportion and set about fixing any decorations that were knocked off balance as well, and checking that the llamas had escaped from being startled. He now had to wait for fWhip to get online, so for now he decided to look into what on earth could be possessing Jimmy to the point of murder.

For now though, he had to act as though everything was normal. That was a lot easier said than done.
