Friends?

Joel wandered around upper Stratos nervously. Jimmy was online and unfortunately for him, they were the only two on at the time, and that meant the shorter was probably going to be heading over to Stratos any second now to talk to the god.

Said god heard the faint sound of wings flapping and he inhaled, looking across his city in the sky, keeping an eye out for the shorter man.

When he heard the wings flapping again, he got slightly confused, had Jimmy not been able to see him or something? Was he just flying closer? But then the sound of flapping got quieter until he couldn't hear it at all.

Joel looked around upper Stratos again, Jimmy had to have been up there otherwise he wouldn't have been able to hear his wings flapping. Then, he saw a shulker box placed just in front of the fountain. He hadn't looked around too hard or too much the first time around, assuming Jimmy was just going to fly right to him. So when he saw the shulker box he swallowed nervously and started walking towards it.

He knew for a fact that he didn't place that there, meaning that Jimmy must have left it. He didn't know why he didn't talk to him face to face but he was honestly kind of relieved that he didn't.

He reached the shulker box, looking around to see if Jimmy was lurking anywhere. h̶e̶ h̶e̶a̶r̶d̶ h̶i̶m̶ f̶l̶y̶i̶n̶g̶ a̶w̶a̶y̶. h̶e̶ k̶n̶e̶w̶ h̶e̶ w̶o̶u̶l̶d̶n̶'t̶ b̶e̶. h̶e̶ w̶a̶s̶ b̶e̶i̶n̶g̶ p̶̶a̶̶r̶̶a̶̶n̶̶o̶̶i̶̶d̶̶.

After he couldn't see him, he turned his attention back to the shulker, inspecting it for anything suspicious.

Eventually, he decided that it was safe and opened it, seeing four stacks of gunpowder surrounding a book in the middle of the shulker and four stacks of terracotta, one in each corner.

Joel took the book out and looked at what it was called.

So, it was definitely looking well so far. Four free stacks of gunponder and terracotta, plus a book apologising. He opened the book and began to read.

Joel. I'm so so so sorry for what I did. I regret it so much. You have every reason to be upset with me and not forgive me.

I hate what I did. I hate that I shot you. I haven't been able to look at my gun the same way without getting flashbacks to my actions. I haven't been able to think straight or look at myself in the mirror the same. It- it haunts me Joel. I've stopped carrying my gun around at this point, I don't want the reminder of the pain I must have caused you.

Scott came over. He told me you were hurt. I knew you would be, but I didn't have it in myself to reach out and ask you if you were, because I didn't want any reminders of my actions, even if that ment not knowing how you were doing.

I wish I was able to say more. I really do. But I don't know what else I can say.

He picked up the shulker after he had finished reading the book. He was sorry. Joel hadn't thought it affected him as much as the book made it appear he had. He figured that Jimmy would probably feel bad, and if the theory of him getting possessed was true as well, then he wouldn't be too badly affected because he knew it wasn't actually him. He was so wrong about that. Jimmy might not have even known he was possessed-

i̶̶f̶̶ h̶̶e̶ e̶v̶e̶n̶ w̶a̶s̶ p̶o̶s̶s̶e̶s̶s̶e̶d̶? Joel shook that last thought off.

He started walking along upper Stratos, just thinking back on the book, and thinking especially about the last thing Jimmy had asked.

Friends?

Did he want to be friends with him? It would make him feel better. And he was sure Jimmy would also be relieved.

He shook his head before taking out his communicator and taking a deep breath, before he began typing.
