The silence was deafening within the cramped walls of the gymnasium. All possible movements were left astray as they all watched the girl bow to those in front of her. Yeah, they've seen people who were desperate to join the club, the people outside were clear examples. But they'd never think that someone would bow, more less a girl, and beg to be a coach.
This baffled them all, why does she want it so desperately? The knew one fact, and that was the girls desire to become her own persona and not under her brothers name. But they don't know why she'd want to do that, what could've happened to cause a sudden uprise and grief that the girl had to go out and prove her own blood wrong.
With all the stares, y/n couldn't help but feel a sudden wave of embarrassment and fear. Embarrassment for the fact that she bowed to the people in front of her, to show that she was willing to do whatever means necessary to ensure her placement to the club.
However the fear rose up in her with the fact that she could be easily dismayed and those in front of her. Like those who walk by a pretty flower, but ignore it, as well as ignoring its background and the strength it holds to keep itself upright. Sometimes it's not about looks, but about its personality and upbringing. She feared that she would be rejected and that her dreams would stop due to other peoples negligence.
But within that fear, there was an uproar of frustration and passion. Y/n remembered all the efforts that she'd placed into what she's accomplished to this very day. She knew that she had potential, she very much knew it. She refused to be overlooked and judged upon by her age and gender. That was a bunch of bullshit, it just screams insecurity.
So, bowing in front of these boys, she couldn't help but begin to shake with anger. How dare they judge her by her admiration to help them get to where they want to go, how dare them make sudden accusations and throw out their judgements to her, telling her how she isn't capable of leading them. The only thing the aren't capable of is going to nationals but she had to bite her tongue.
However, her thought process was interrupted by a sudden burst of laughter. Y/n froze. Looking up slightly, she saw the sight of Daichi laughing with his eyes closed. Beside him stood a smiling Sugamama as he looked at the girl with such fondness. The girls teal eyes slightly widened at this as she hesitantly turned her body upright once again.
"Why are you laughing..," y/n's voiced chimed in with the rhythm of laughter, not entirely finding the situation humorous in the slightest. Her facade on the outside stood a little bit surprised and mildly pissed off, but on the inside she felt incredibly insecure as it's difficult to being laughed at and not knowing the reason why. She just poured her heart out to them and this is what she gets in return? Utterly shameless.
Daichi seemed to recollect himself as he exhaled a bit, now smiling at the girl who was slightly glaring at him. "I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing at the situation..." he placed his hand behind it neck, moving it up and down as he continued, "it's not everyday you meet someone passionate like yourself who'd bow to people just for a coaching job." Y/n in turn of this slightly looked away with a 'tsk' escaping his lips.
"I have proposition for you." The girl slightly perked up at this, now looking slightly confused as she saw Daichi motioning to a seat sitting a bit away from her, "but you'll need to wait, it has something to include with the people outside as well."
The people outside? Oh, the ones who were locked out. Ginger and... Kageyama was it? Y/n thought as she crossed her arms and began asking questions. "What do you mean I'll need to wait? I just bowed now you're making me wait?" The girl couldn't hide her distaste toward Daichi, the latter now shrugging his shoulders and smiled again. "You just need it be patient, so just go and sit down and wait till then okay?" Y/n sighed a bit before walking over to the seat and plopped onto it, looking bored and annoyed.
