Standing on the side of the court with her water bottle in hand, y/n had become the victor of the match against her first years. Around her neck sat a towel, her other hand rubbing it into her skin as the beads of sweat were melting under its touch.
She observed the gymnasium as she cooled herself off, a feeling of success and gleefulness as she came to the conclusion that she would now be the coach for the Karasuno's boys volleyball team.
She smiled secretly behind her towel as she looked at the exhausted Kageyama and Hinata on the court, Hinata with his butt in the air and Kageyama bending down holding the net.
She walked over to the benches as she grabbed their waters and two extra towels that laid in her bag. Walking past Daichi, Sugawara and Tanaka, she flashed them a quick smile and said to the captain, "great game Daichi!" Before turning away.
Tanaka blinked, blinked, blinked once more, before clutching his chest. "She's smiling! So much more! My heart!" Suga had a smile on his face as he watched y/n walk off, seeing as she was being more expressive after her match. Daichi just chuckled and yelled back to y/n "you too!"
Suga breathed out while his hands rested at his hips. "Being a coach must be seriously important to y/n than im guessing, seeing how intensely she was behaving. I'm glad that she'll be on our side," a sweatdrop fell off his face.
Daichi's eyes trailed off to the girl who was now sitting legs in a basket while handing the first year boys a towel each and water, smiling lightly at them while watching their drained faces.
His face was straight as he turned to his friends in all seriousness. "I was going to let her be the coach no matter what." This caused the two to gape. "B-but what was the point of her playing today if you were gonna let her in! She thought she was on trial!" Suga scolded, at disbelief of what evil plan he devised.
Daichi shrugged as he grabbed his own water, "I wanted to truly see if she had the hunger. She proved that to me when she first came, but I wanted to see her potential, and see if I could learn from her."
He then smirked, his eyes brimming with an intense aura of passion and desire. "She truly is a terrifying person, I want to learn more from her." He declared full heartedly, drinking his water.
Tanaka and Sugawara both had a face of acknowledgment, but also suprisement displayed on them as the man who is known to be the scariest person of all, declared someone other than himself to be terrifying.
But after watching y/n play, her advice to Kageyama and Hinata, it was truly remarkable and it was no longer hidden that she was a professional. The two's eyes were now also clear with their determination. "Yeah. We do too."
Y/n and the two others had now moved from the floor to the side of the court, eyeing the other first years who were also rubbing their faces with towels.
Kageyama and Y/n had scowls on their faces while looking at them, still feeling the grudges of what the blonde bastard said about them during the match. Meanwhile Hinata was trying to encourage the two of them to shake hands.
"We don't need to." Kageyama defended himself and y/n, as they made their disgust clear with their expressions, but Hinata was incredibly persistent on the fact that they should.
"Yes we do. All right let's go!" The ginger boy cheered on as he begun marching up to the other first years who were oblivious to their new upcoming company.
Kageyama crossed his arms as he was adamant about not shaking hands. Looking away, he was surprised to feel a hand grip his bicep as he was being pulled. He looked down wide eyed as he saw y/n looking ahead, a calm expression on her face. Before he could get started, y/n begun speaking.
