As the sun's descended slowly, y/n sat underneath a tree while she observed the two first year boy's practice together, notebook in hand while the birds chirped in the changing atmosphere.

As the boys bickered the girl basked underneath the sun, the wind swaying as she was lulled into a peaceful state. She found this environment to be most relaxing. She felt herself being swept in the aroma of the sun, the heat in the atmosphere, as if she was being wrapped in a warm blanket that concealed her.

Y/n preferred every single season over winter.

She enjoyed seeing the noticeable change in length of days that spring brung, as this meant she could enjoy the brighter things in life for a while longer.

She enjoyed the warmth summer brought as she could fade away into a comfortable slumber, being able to sink in its rich honey skies and the extraordinary beauty the sun held when fading away.

She anxiously waited for autumn as this was the time where things were unpredictable, where sudden changes go unnoticeable, and how we may never be able to decipher or phantom why there are sudden dips in the atmosphere.

She despised winter. She hated the goosebump the weather brought to her skin, the chills that ran up her spine if she never wore the right clothing, the fog that accompanied the grounds making it hard to see. She disliked the thought of getting sick, her nose twitching with the urge to sneeze knowing that she was filthy, she disliked the way her throat was constricted from taking a full breath as if she was going to be strangled.

But over all, she hated the resurrecting memories that lay in the snow. She hated the fact that all the reasons above used to be reasons why she loved winter. She wished that she could bring herself to enjoy winter as much as she could as she did back then, but the feeling of heartache and frostbite prickled at her soul, feeling as if she could never thaw her frozen memories. How badly she wanted them to thaw you have no idea, but her heart, mind and soul restricted it otherwise.

So, sitting in the sunlight now, y/n laid with a peaceful expression on her face as she became acquainted with the sun. She let the suns rays shine on her exposed skin, her teal eyes brightening ever so slightly.

While relaxing, she felt a sudden weight on her head as a flutteringly object tickled her skull. Looking up ever so slightly, she noticed that the volleyball became lodged in the tree above her. She saw Hinata run towards her and smile slightly. "Sorry, y/n-chan!"

Eventually she was able to ease the two boy's reluctancy to call her by her given name, which was good, because she didn't want to be known as 'Itoshi'. She wished to separate herself from her last name and build a name for herself, she didn't just want to be known as an Itoshi, but as y/n. The girl just shrugged her shoulders and tucked her head in between her knees. "It's no bother."

She watched how Hinata climbed up the tree with such ease whilst he spoke to Kageyama. "I said to take it easy when we practice outside! We are interrupting y/n-chan's peace!" Kageyama stood in front of y/n whilst waving a stick at Hinata.

Is he gonna strike him with that stick y/n pondered whilst she watched the comedic scene. "All you have to do is bump it properly. If you did that then we wouldn't be disturbing y/n!" At least they're self aware the girl once again went back to her peaceful state as she closed her eyes.

"Whatever king." Hinata grumbled as he turned his head away from his partner as he pouted. The atmosphere suddenly dampened as a dark expression twisted as he glared at hinatas back. "Hey." Hinata slightly gasped at his mistake and covered his mouth.

Teal eyes opened for a fraction of a second as she looked at the face kageyama bared. His eyes held a sort of pain that she recognised, a sight of abandonment and judgment, she knew those emotions too well. She closed her eyes again.
