Walking side by side with Rin, y/n was holding his phone while gazing at the photo. A warmth surrounded her heart as her eyes observed everyone's joy as they won a match that truly was difficult to win.

This was the first time that y/n had ever felt complete triumph and rapture after battling against a powerful school. The taste of victory melted down her throat, indulging in its sweet honey taste, she urged to gain more of it.

It was addictive, a compulsion habit that would be hard to get rid off. A habit that she would never want to be rid off. This was the taste of succession, a sickly and sweet feeling.

Rin tilted his head down as he observed his sister's expression change. One moment it was tranquil, warm, safe. But now it was chaotic, cold and dangerous. Her demanding eyes were like a viper, get too close and it'll have you in its grips forever.

Seeing this brought chills down his spine, never used to a rough exterior from her. Well, that was a lie. There has been multiple various occasion's where she's made him afraid.

For example when he tampered with her cooking behind her back, she knew instantly when she tasted it. That in turn led to him being beaten up and given a cold dinner, which he never appreciated at all.

But overall, she was a very good person and he knew that all too well. She managed to keep everything in their apartment in order, even though they were miles away from their parents.
Other than food, she handed all the cleaning up, washing and food shopping.

No matter how many times he insisted to help her, she always had it to her core that she would be the one who would take on the role as the enabler of the house. Rin appreciated all her efforts to make their home seem more like a home.

He knew that she was trying to make him happier and feel better about himself as his confidence and self esteem had been obliterated by the one person who they both thought they could trust,
Sae Itoshi.

He was their role model, their support, and overall the most kindest older sibling one could have. They thought that they had it all, someone who was truly the prime example on what an older sibling should be.

Till the frostbite begin to nip at them as they were met with the cold reality. It was natural for siblings to fight, that was an obvious guarantied. But was not to be expected is for it to basically be a vicious battle that would carry on years later.

Naturally, all contact between them became severed. No one knew of the younger Itoshi's, they were unbeknownst to the world, devoured in the shadow casted by their brother.

Rin wanted to first fight alongside Sae, to be a worthy partner and for them to devour the world together. But now, he wanted to fight against him, to prove his strength and to show that he was no longer the young and naive boy he once way.

But more than that, he wanted his older brother back. Not just for his sake, but for y/n's. As much as it had taken a tole on him, it was also a heavy weight on her shoulders. She just wanted them to stop fighting, and that ended up with her being in the fight.

Wall were made, devision was decided and peace was destroyed. He knew that things would and could never be the same as they once were, there was too much bad blood. But if there was ever an opportunity for conversations and a chance to come to terms where they were in life, Rin would take that.

If it meant that he'd stop hearing his sister's cries at night about all the damage that's been caused, then he'd do it in a heart beat.

Sighing, the brother took the phone from his sister's hand and looked at her and pause in his steps, making her stop as well. The two held contact with each other's eyes, teal clashing with teal.
