A stinging sensation was tingling at y/n's palm as she hand one clear objective in mind. Make the tall bastard fall was the thought that spiralled through her head as she was face to face with his smugness, and overall, his naive personality.

She despised the bold statement he made, about him being able to crush her, being able to belittle she'd, for her to tremble before him. The mere thought of that brought chills down her spine, and her chest tight.

But most of all, she loathed the way he brought her elder brother into this. He spoke so freely about the topic that it felt like poison being injected into her veins, her body seized from her pure rage and the nauseous feeling that erupted in her.

She wanted to retaliated against his words, so wanted to show that she isn't in his shadow. She may have been once ago, but now she's embarking on her own path, one that shouldn't have any connection that should intertwine with his.

So, here she is now. Y/n made the running approach as she was now leaping in through air, going face to face with tsukishima. She noticed how before the game even begun, he had the nerve to already claim that he's much better than her.

He only knew her from her elder brother, so he hardly had any intel on her experience as a volleyball player. And not to tell, she wasn't aware of his existence till he walked into this gym. In other words, he's just a stepping stone for her path way to victory, and his behaviour was lukewarm.

Jumping in the air, Kageyama set her another ball as she unexpectedly jumped to a greater high than the others witnessed. Tsukishima, not realising it soon, was now at the mercy of the girl in front of him.

Finding a weak spot, y/n aimed her sight to the exposed area of his hand that was pointing outwards. Swinging her hand, her arm reflected a bow, as the ball represented the arrow as it shot through the blockers hand, making it bend backwards and for it to hit the ground, gaining
y/n's team a point.

Slowly descending to the ground, the girls eyes were narrowly slitted as she looked at tsukishima, feeling a swell of pride and pleasure go through her as she looked at the distraught expression that cascaded his face.

Savouring that expression, y/n lightly smirked as she spoke to him in a manner with a hint of amusement. "You said you were gonna crush me? Well follow through, your face truly is funny right  now." When she said that, the boy turned away with a tsk and a glare.

Her voice suddenly was full of scornfulness as her smirk fell, her eyes looking at him with disappointment. "Don't make promises that you can't complete. That just makes you a phoney. I was truly hoping to be up against someone with more talent,"

"You're lukewarm at best."

Tsukishima's face was full of horror as he processed her words. Looking at her slightly, he noticed how she already walked way, and was being praised by Kageyama whose eyes were sparkling, and Hinata who was jumping on her shoulders grinning and displayed his admiration for her.

Tanaka whipped off his shirt as he applauded the girl. "Way to go y/n! Beauty, Brain and Brawn!" The girl slightly blushed as she turned her back to him, her shoulders shaking in embarrassment. The other's from the side were commenting on the boys bold behaviour.

Daichi walked up to Tsukishima, hand on hip and watched the scene in amusement. "Maybe you shouldn't have provoked y/n." The boys face was distorted in a glare as he tsk again.

As the game continued on, a serve came y/n's way a she bumped it up for Kageyama, her stance relaxed. "Mine!" She called out, her voice echoing across the court. Kageyama stood still as he waited for the ball.
