"EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH?!?!?!?!"

As the opposing teams went up in an uproar, the three childhood friends ignored their presence as they begun talking about everyday life. "So, little miss hissy-" "Stop calling me that you deformed rooster," "How's your new school?" "It's alright, top of the class." "Wouldn't expect anything less."

The three begun to walk away from the big group of boys as the were too indulged in their conversation to even bat an eye at them, everyone looking at those three in bewilderment.

Reluctantly, they all begun to trail after them, staying in their own teams. Y/n paused in her footing and turn to her own team, seeing them stare at her dumbly.

Her own face formed into annoyance as her teeth were pulled into a straight line and lightly glared at them. "What are you all still doing here, go inside and warm up if you wanna win!"

Hearing her slight of edge of tone, the crows stiffened up as they yelled, "Yes Coach!," before quickening up their pace and begun to venture beyond her.

Kenma also begun to travel up as well, whereas Kuroo stayed put beside Y/n as her face seemed to droop even further. The older boy held in a chuckle when he saw her face, making the girl snap out of it.

She turned up to look at Kuroo, indulging the warm air around her. "So..." she stared to say, "how's you and Kenma doing? Haven't seen you both in a few months, just the occasional texts."

Her voice dipped down into a solemn sympathy as she looked to the side slightly, her teal eyes dimming. "I'm sorry for not being available... things have just been hectic, so I've not got the time I use to have."

Kuroo stared down blankly at her for a moment, before smirking and placing a hand on her head, playfully ruffling her fluffy locks, making a small gasp leave her lips. She looked up, seeing his grin full face as he spoke to her reassuringly.

"Don't sweat it, Kenma and I know what pressure you've got on you, so obviously you're not gonna have enough time for anything." His voice lingered with playfulness, but was short lived as he then moved his arm, wrapping it delicate around her shoulder and brought her beside him as they begun walking.

"But, that doesn't mean you can neglect your own needs... sure you value volleyball a lot, but there's much more bigger thing to life than a court. As long as you take care of yourself and know your limits, then that's good enough."

The two walked side by side in harmony as the sun shone above them, their black hair twinkling. The young girl felt herself melt in his grasp, as she found herself leaning deeper into his shoulder, grasping onto the thing she truly missed the most.

"Yes..."

As the two entered the gymnasium, all the nets had been set up as Kuroo and Y/n split up, finding their designated placements, the boy with the captain of Karasuno and the girl with the other coaches.

As she made her way over, she witnessed Ukai and Naoi, the other Nekoma coach, tease one another a bit, before smiling and chuckling. "Hey Keishin." A rougher voice broke through the moment, as all the men and y/n turned to look at the older man approaching them.

"It's been a long time, Nekomata-sensei." The man had his eyes closed and a cheeky grin on his face as he was addressed by his former rivals grandson. "You look just like your geezer of a granddad."
