"Where are we?" I asked James. We were standing in front of a big black house. Must been over hundred years old. "This is Staomi old house." He parked the bike he had long time outgrown.
"You think they are here?" I asked. I thought Brett pack was good at hiding. "No, but there might be something here that can give us a clue about where they might be" He walked up to the front door.
It was beautiful dark brown wood. The doorknob was round and had small decorative patterns on it. It looked very fragile like it was going to fall off.
There was a short corridor. I went upstairs while James looked in the living room. It was a bit empty. All the furniture was covered in white sheets. Lately I have been spending a lot of time in haunted places.
I heard a big thud from down stairs. The vibration spread around the room. It sounded more like gunshot than anything else. "James." I yelled out for him. "James." I yelled out again. No answer. What has happened.
I slowly walked out again. Listening closely after. The only thing to hear was the floor that creek below my feet's. I lowers my voice when I spoke this time. "James?"
I went to check where I last saw him. Before I even had the chance to do so, someone grabbed me from behind. Holding their hand in front of my mouth to prevent me from screening. Panic washed over me. It was as time itself have frozen. Everything felt so slower. The way my feet dragged on the floor. My hands clenched on the larger hand that was holding me.
My body slammed on the hardwood floors. They were two armed men standing in front of me. Two assassins. James laid not so far away from me. Clenched his abdomen in pain. It was a gunshot after all.
I was fast beside him. "Are you okey?" I asked him. His wound was closing up, it was a good sign. All of suddenly one of the assassins lifted their gun. He pointed straight at us. I closed my eyes as if that was going to do something.
Two loud bangs and an ear piercing scream was filled in the air. Breathing became more difficult. I couldn't grasp anything that was happening. I felt tears pooling up in the corner of my eyes.
"Would you stop that." The one with the gun pointed at me. "You are not seriously crying over that. Do you even know what he is?" He asked. His harsh voice echoing in my head. It felt impossible to comprehend what he was saying. It didn't feel real. There is no way I'm finding my self in this situation. I just need to wake up from this nightmare.
The assassin grabbed me by the collar of my shirt, so I stood up. "He is a monster, an animal. He feeds on human flesh. I bet if he got hungry enough he would have shredded you to pieces, if he hasn't already." My eyes searched for James. He wasn't even looking up. Prahaps he was thinking about how we are going to get killed. We were stupid enough to think we would find our friends in the most obvious hiding place ever. Why was I even here. All of this was my fault. I dragged my friend here to die. It was inevitable. Domed to happen from the start. Everyone on that list will die. Including my brother who is newly turn werewolf. I wish I was home with him right now. Home with my family. Instead I'm here about to meet the end.
