"Just go stand in goal." Liam told me. I grabbed the lacrosse stick from the ground in a very slow way to show him that I don't want to be here.

My mom let me stay home after going on the ground and begging her. I was feeling little hungover and didn't really feel like to do anything. Liam was blackmailing me so I can train with him.

I sucked at sport. I putted the helmet on and prepared to be hit multiple time. Liam grabbed the lacrosse ball with the stick and prepared to shoot. "Wait, don't hit hard." I yelled out making him miss. The ball was no way near the goal. My happiness was cut short by him throwing balls repeatedly.

"Wait, wait, I'm sorry."  I yelled him to stop covering my head. It didn't really help, but what did was a familiar voice. I looked up and Brett was standing there. I took my helmet to make sure that it was him.

"Brett?" Liam said. I walked up to him cautious. "What are you doing here?" I asked him. "You forget your bag. Figured you would need it." He  smirked at me. He was holding out the bag for me to grab. I was too busy standing there grinning, like an idiot to notice.

"Oh, yeah." I finally grabbed it. "You make an interesting lacrosse player." He pointed out. I was about to answer, but Liam cut me short. "What the hell do you want Brett?" He hissed at Brett. I rolled my eyes at his childish remark.
"Liam, you are here." He said. "What do you mean I'm here. It's my house." Liam got all worked up.

I pulled Brett to the front side of the house. My dad was getting out of the car. "Who is this?" He asked. "It's just a friend." I told him. "He is leaving." Liam came behind us. "Don't you want to eat dinner with us?" My dad asked Brett. "Actually, I would love to." He said. Then he shakes my dad hand and introduces himself.

We walked inside and dad went to put away the groceries. Liam was about to stare a hole into Brett head so I took him upstairs into the tv room. I putted my bag on the couch. Brett was looking through the photos spread around the room. He picked up a specific picture. "You were a cute baby." He complimented me. "That's Liam." I told him. "Now that I take a second look at it. It looks a bit distorted." He changed his mind.

He sat down across of me. There were school books on the table. We often used this room as a place to study. Other times it was just a hang out place. "Did you come all the way over here to give me back my backpack?" I asked him. It didn't really make sense to me why he would that.

"You wasn't at school today. I came to see you." He answers. A smiled creeped into my face. "Jo, there is something I need to tell you." He said quietly. He open his mouth and then closed it again. He looked down, searching for the right word.

"Dinners ready." Liam walked in. "What did you want to tell me?" I asked Brett. "It was nothing." He brushed it off. "Now." Liam raised his voice. I didn't think Brett wanted Liam to know.

We walked down stairs. "You must be Brett." My mom said. "It's nice to meet you Mrs Dunbar." He told my mom. "It's Mrs Geyer." She corrected him. "My apologies Mrs Geyer." He said. I shared a glance with Liam. My apologies. What was he, the Duke of Scotland.

We sat down. We were having lasagna today. One of my favourites. "So Brett, tell us about yourself." My dad asked him. "I'm Liam and Josie friend from Devenford prep." He told them. "Devenford prep." My mom repeated to herself. "I'm the captain of the lacrosse team. It used to be so much fun to play on the same team as Liam. It's such a shame to loose a good player like him. The team hasn't been the same." He explained to my parents.

Liam clenched his fist around the fork. Avoid eye contact. "You will still see him on the field, just on the other team now." Dad joked. I laughed in hope to ease the tension.

"It's almost the school carnival." I changed the topic. "That's right, do we need to volunteer again?" My mom asked. "I don't think so, but this year Beacon hills is joining us. Won't that be fun, Liam?" I said. He just nodded his head. "We are going to play a game that morning against your school." Brett pointed out. "Can't wait." Liam said sarcastically with a vide smile.

"But of course we would win, as we are the better team." He said cocky. My parents laughed not getting what he really meant. "I think it's time for desert." I started taking the plates. "We are not finished Josie." Mom said. "That's good leave some space for dessert." I rushed away.

It was multiple bowls of vanilla pudding. I placed them on a tray before going back. I gave everyone their bowl. "You have a lovely home Mrs Gayer." Brett complemented my mother. "Thank you. I'm actually a real estate agent." My mom said flattered. I was glad that we could have a conversation without ending up shredded to pieces.

I ate fast so we could wrap this up. "It's really late." I stretched my hands. "Yeah, you are right." Brett stood up. He started to pick up the tableware. He helped me rinse the plates and bowls and put them in the dishwasher.

We went back in so he could say goodbye. I followed him out. "Please don't ever do that again." I laughed awkwardly. "Can't promise anything. The food was delicious." He said.

A very angry Liam walked up to us. "What the hell do you think you are doing." He said. "You can be an asshole at school. Target me on the field, but you don't get to come my house. Eat dinner with my parents, and act like we are friends."

"You are getting little emotional Liam." He motioned at Liam eyes that was glowing. His claws were out too. "And who said that I was here for you." Brett told him.

"That's right. I forgot you had that crappy excuse." Liam said waiving his arms all over the space. I grabbed Brett by the arm pulling him from away from Liam. "Let's not do this now. Brett is leaving anyway." I told them both.

He got out of my grip getting right in Liam face. Looking down due to the height difference. "You are tuff for being 5 feet tall but let's be real what are you going to do. Go after me with a crowbar." He mocked him.

That sent Liam off. He punched him right in the face. I thought I heard something break. Brett tackled Liam and they were taking turns on who got to punch who. I couldn't do much. It's not like I could just get in there and break them up.

In the side of my eye I caught a glimpse of the garden hose. The pressure wasn't the best, but Stiles told me cold water could help when someone wolf out. I turned the water on and pointed to the both of them. Which was by now just wrestling on the ground. I pulled the hose and water started to gush out. Apparently it had better pressure than I remember.

I turned it off and they were just sitting there. "I think you should leave now." I looked at Brett. He was just sitting there still, not saying anything. "Go home Brett!" I raised my voice at him. He got up and walked away.

Liam had that look on his face after when he done something wrong. I didn't even want to look at him. He always toke it too far. Yes, Brett was out of line. That doesn't make this okay.
