For what felt like the millionth time. I watched Brett pick up the lacrosse ball and shoot it right in the goal. The goalkeeper frustrated by how he was unable to catch the ball, he threw it back at Brett. The boy with supernatural reflexes catch it with ease. It's understandable that the goalkeeper wanted to switch positions, consider that he was completely natural he had no chance against someone who would prove themselves different.

Brett asked if I wanted to watch his practice. Normally I would say no. Sitting on the hard bench surface. Right under the scorching sun, is not an ideal way to spend my afternoon. However it was Brett who asked. Although we haven't really label our relationship, some would consider us more than friends. I would at least.

I enjoyed watching him play, even though there is lack of passion for the game. I somehow felt ashamed of how I looked at him. I shouldn't look at people like that, even a possible romantic partner. I still found myself prying on him. I couldn't help myself. He was the boy who sweat diamond.

There were two boys who were also watching from afar. More specific it was my brother and his best friend Mason. They waved the practicing boy over. Sudden wave of curiosity toke over me, pushing me over to the commotion going on at the far end of field.

"Cute, but never seen her." Brett looked away from the phone. I was standing beside the small group invested in what we conversation they were having.
"Could Staomi have turned her without you knowing?" Liam carried on with the conversation completely ignoring me.

"After the dead pool, Staomi's not exactly doing much recruiting," Brett argued against Liam statement. Which was now making me wonder who they were talking about. It's clearly not the boy from class that disappeared, since he was a he, and not a her. Therefore only feeding my suspicions of a new werewolf pack in town.

"That's how it works?" Mason looked around. "Alpha werewolves just go around biting people?" He asked.
He made it sound really perverted. Human like creatures going around, biting people and forcing them to join their group. It also sounds like a cult. To be honest. If I didn't knew about the supernatural activities that was going on, and someone bit me. I would think they had rabies. I feel bad Liam. Scott first broke his leg, then but him out of nowhere. I would not have gotten over than, ever.

"Or you could be born like me and my sister," Brett clarified.

He walked up to his back and started to go through his belongings. "Staomi took us in after our family died in a fire."

Brett told me once. He never mentioned it again. He didn't talk about his past. He maybe said one thing here and there, but he hold back a lot of information. I was always tempted to ask, but hold myself back. It was a sensitive topic. How he always tensed up when it came up. He had us back turned against us now. His voice was calm and stern, but his face perceived him.
