Aadhi- ipdi panrathukana motive enna va irukum

Aadhavan shook his head and looked at the time which shows 12:45 am.. he also looked at the missed calls from nila. He looked at the call button of calling her again but he didn't and drove to his home.

He refreshed and checked on ria before laying on his bed thinking about nila which is totally new to him as he didn't think of her anytime maybe. His heartbeat raised a little in the noon and automatically nila's face flashed before him. He didn't know why but he wanted to see nila or atleast to hear that she is fine but an emergency meeting made him to go with the flow in work forgetting it.

The cases are really a big headache to him as the 2 murders happened in a row which made public to panic about the happenings. He want to make sure about the people and also to stop the further murders but he didn't get any clue of the murderer.

The next day,

Nila looked at her mom and dad waiting for the answer about attending her graduation but all she hear from her father that too indirectly is,

Prakash- let's see.

He said wiping his hand in tissue getting up from the dinning chair moving out of the home to his office. Amala smiled and went inside the kitchen.

Jaanu- our parents and i will be in the graduation to click the photo and cheer u when u receive ur degree...

She said and winked at her sister to assure her. Nila too giggled and had her food before going to meet ria. Jaanu dropped her in the mechanic shed and from there she drove to aadhavan's home.

Nila swirled the key in her finger entering the door but hot dashed onto his chest. She rubbed her forehead moving back and looked up smiling widely.

Nila- morning aadhi.. enna nethu full ah call edukave illa.. busy ah.. epo vanthinga veetuku..

Aadhi- mm ama..

Nila- are u free today aadhi?

Aadhi- no.. why?

Nila- enna policeyy epo paaru case uh police station nu irukinga.. u should be free sometimes right..

She grinned at him but soon it fade hearing him.

Aadhi- I'm not like u..

He smirked but seeing her expression changing, he cursed himself. Nila shook her head and cleared her throat before moving in after nodding at him. He slapped his forehead moving behind her.

Aadhi- uhmm.. sorry..

Nila smiled and saw ria who is excitedly telling about aadhavan taking her to the park and spend a day with her. She also answered to her with the same excitement. Minutes later nethra realised thta they both will be going out so she thought to go to her home or her friends.

Nila- ria baby is a good girl right.. so have a good dad daughter day okay.. have fun..

Ria- u not coming mumma?

Nila- no baby.. i have some work so i will join u another time.. deal..

Aadhavan cleared his throat,

Aadhi- she have some work so lets go.. she will come with us another time..

Ria nodded sadly but smiled when nila kissed her cheeks and she too kissed her cheeks then went with her dad. He saw nila for one time before getting in the car and drove to the park.

Ria started to play with her friends she got there while aadhi was busy in a call learning about the clues and cases. Though he had works over his head, he spend his time with his little one as promised. He frowned when he saw a masked guy looking at a girl who is playing alone. He turned to look at ria once before turning to that guy but he was not there but the little girl he saw was playing. He was confused but let it go and sat on a bench.

"Deiiii aadhavaa”

A male screamed making him look at the source of voice only to widen his eyes in surprise.

Aadhavan- deii mano..

He hugged his friend whom he missed in all these years.

(Manohar- friend of aadhavan; boyfriend of jaanvi; detective and investigative officer)

Mano- how are you? How is ria?

Aadhi- we are fine da.. how are you? So fit man..

He complimented him hitting his bicep playfully. Mano chuckled and did the same as he also appeared new and fit to him.

Aadhavan- who is this dude?

He pointed to the girl beside him,

Mano- my girlfriend da.. jaanvi.. and janu he is aadhavan.. i said right deputy commissioner is my friend.. he is the one..

Jaanvi frowned a little but shook her hand with him. Then two of them had talks about their days and then ria also had fun. After seeing ria jaanvi confirmed that he is the one that his sister in love with. Then everyone parted their ways but shared their number to meet sometimes.

Ria was on call with nila telling her about having fun and the newly introduced uncle and aunt. Aadhavan smiled at her and his mind drifted to the day he saw nila who was gawking at him without blinking her eyes.

2 years ago (not a long flashback)

Nila was sitting in a bus talking with preetha about how she messed up her viva and the advice she got from her not so sweet professor.

Preetha- antha aal kedakuran.. seri nee viva ku vantha external paathiya.. evlo handsome.. aww...

Nila rolled her eyes and turned her head to the window while preetha continued to blabber about the external. Nila randomly gaze at the vehicles and the people but her eyes stopped on the police car and saw a fine man in his police uniform sitting with his coolers in his hand which is resting under his chin and a smile on his face.

A smile formed on her lips seeing him who is talking with the driver. Slightly flinched when he saw her for a sec before moving his gaze to the front. The bus and other vehicles moved when the signal showed green.

Aadhavan noticed her gaze but didn't think much and entered his office. Later in the same day evening, it was heavy pour outside aadhavan was driving the car, ria also with him sitting in baby seat the back with a earmuffs as the thundering and lightening may scare her. He stopped the car in mid seeing the girl he saw in the bus, is standing under the bus stand.

Aadhavan- hello.. come I'll drop u..

He shouted to reach her ear as the pour down is heavy still.

Nila- how can i trust a stranger..?

She shouted back,

Aadhavan- I'm a police so trust me i will drop u in ur home..

Nila didn't have any option than to take his help. She entered the passenger seat and released a heavy breathe muttering ‘betrayer'. He look at her she shook her head and she dried her hair using her dupatta.

Aadhavan- where is ur home? And why were u standing alone in this heavy rain?

Nila- its in the 4th street corner. My betrayer friend asked me to wait in the bus stand and last minute her boyfriend came to pick her up.

Aadhavan nodded and continued but she saw him and realised the morning incident.

Nila- u r so handsome policeyy.

Aadhavan coughed a little and turn to see his little one who is giggling and keeping her finger in her mouth. Nila turned and saw her and went aww with the baby's cuteness but widened her eyes and turn to him he nodded slowly guessing her question by her look. She sighed and got down when she reached her home. She bid bye to aadhavan and slightly pinched the baby's cheek then entered the home. He chuckled and drove to his home.

That day didn't remove from his head nor he wanted to forget it. He really loved watching her expression whenever she plays with ria and her playfullness and straightforwardness is what a unique character of nila. He can sense something is making her sad and disturbing her mind but never once saw her in tears in these 2 years. A strong girl like his Swati. He smiled at nila's thought before dozing off.
