Ugh, it's time for the training. I don't care what Mitsuri says, I can't wait for this to be over.

Sanemi thought to himself as he got up from his bed. Even though it was midday, he decided he would need some rest before training these annoying assholes.

Sanemi grabbed the leftover ohagi he stored in his kitchen the day before, he couldn't resist eating at least half of it when he brought it over to his house. Giyu offered to take it over to Sanemi so he could be more prepared for the hashira training. Sanemi just took it as Giyu was saying he didn't have any self control and almost beat him to a pulp, if the master weren't there, Sanemi wouldn't have just said no thank you and walked off. When he got home, he took his anger of Giyu being right and not being able to beat him out on an unfortunate wall.

Sanemi got the ohagi as encouragement, the bean cake was sweet. Alike his former lover, Kanye Kocho. The sister of Shinobu and former flower hashira. He missed her like crazy almost all the time. Ohagi helped calm his sadness a bit, but it wasn't just the loss of Kanae that stung him. His siblings, his friend. And his mother. Which he was forced to kill to protect Genya. His only living sibling.

Mom, I'm so sorry. You were a Demon, I had no choice. Please forgive me.

Sanemi closed his eyes and thought, as if his mom were still there, reading his mind.

Well, let's get this over with.

Sanemi bit into the ohagi and started walking over to the window to see if there was anyone there yet. No one was outside.

Thank God. I have time to think before anyone gets here.

But was that a good thing or a bad thing?

There were few people Sanemi enjoyed talking to. And some of them were long gone.

Alone, Sanemi thought about his loss, things that made him angry.

The reason he liked talking to those few people were because they made him happy. Put him in a happy mondscape.
The rest made him think the same. Sadness, anger, fear, and other bad things.

It was only people like Kanae, Masachika, ubayishiki, that he liked talking to.

People like Giyu, Mitsuri, made him angry. They were annoying.

Genya made him feel an emotion he couldn't describe. He was happy to see his brother alive, but the uniform was like a bright flag that said "soon to die".

Sanemi looked out the window.

There was a small group of people outside, looking around for who Sanemi assumed to be him.

He took a deep breath, ate the rest of the ohagi quickly and opened the door.

"Alright! You weaklings get your asses to training ground! Follow me, Now!"

Sanemi started marching towards the training grounds as the smaller slayers followed with a bit of fear on their faces.

Alright, here begins hell. Let's just get this over with.
