I'm Sorry... Nemi (Demon Slayer)

part 15

Sanemi managed to harness his anger of the loss of Genya, and take it out on muzan. The battle took untill sunrise, and they won. The demon king was defeated, muzan was dead.

But Sanemi was unconscious. On the verge of death, nobody knowing if the result would be death or survival.

Where am I?

Sanemi looked one way, he assumed he was looking at the light of heaven. Where Genya and all of Sanemi lost younger siblings were.

Sanemi called out for his mother, asking her why she wasn't there.

"I cannot go to heaven."

"Why not?! Come with me!"

"No, I hurt my children, so I cannot go to heaven."

Sanemi's mother weeped.

Sanemi smiled warmly.

"Okay mom, I'll carry you on my back and we'll go to hell together. Besides, if I went there too soon, Genya would be sad."

Sanemi held out his hand.

"Let's go."

And hand landed on Sanemi's shoulder.

"Aniki."

Sanemi turned around, it was Genya that touched his shoulder.

"Indeed, I would be sad if you died, but your solution to that is never seeing me again for the rest of eternity?"

Sanemi didn't know what to say, Genya was  right. What could Sanemi do? He couldn't leave Genya or his mother.

Then suddenly, Sanemi was shoved down to the abyss below him.

"GENYA! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

"You're not doing that today Nemi, not tomorrow, not ever."

Sanemi started to wake up.

"He's waking up! Shinazugawa is alive!"

"... Dang it Genya."

Genya looked down at his brother on earth. There was no way Genya was letting Sanemi die and never see him again.

"Your not leaving either of us Aniki."

Instantly, Genya picked his mother to her feet.

"HEY! What are you doing with Shizu?!"

Genya's father yelled.

"Shut it old man. I'm sick of you, and mom, it's not your fault that you killed your kids. You didn't kill your kids. You weren't in control."

Genya then pushed his mother down the same way he pushed Sanemi.

"Demons are gone now, so I hope you follow the right path, like you did as a human."

Genya walked back to the light he came from.

"Hey! Genya! How dare you push my wife like that!"

Genya stopped.

"Goodbye father. I hope to never see you again. Mother and Sanemi deserved to live. You were naturally terrible. You can go where you deserve to go."

Genya kept walking into the light again. Where his siblings cheered.

Sanemi was gonna live until it was his true time to die.

Genya's mother was gonna live a new life without demons.

Genya was going to heaven with his siblings, waiting for his mother and big brother.

Genya's father was going to hell.

Everyone was gonna go where they belong.

And Genya was gonna wait for them.

Genya was gonna wait for the family he loved.

And Genya and Sanemi we're going to be happy.

Genya was gonna be happy with his big brother again.

And Sanemi was gonna be happy with his little brother again.

They were all gonna be happy.

In heaven, or in another life.

All Genya had to do, was wait.
