People were moving on with the hashira training. And sanemi had to be stuck still at his place, just to start the entire process over. Sanemi hated teaching.

I don't think there's a single universe where I'm actually a teacher. A nice one at least.
I can't wait to actually train with other hashira, people closer to my strength are actually fun. And there's only one other hashira stronger than me.

Gyomei Himijima was the strongest hashira in that time period, and Sanemi was right behind him. It was easy with anger in his heart for the demons he's meant to kill.

Well, at least I get to take a break. and maybe the next guys won't be so annoying.

Sanemi walked up to his room in his estate and took a little snoop around the space for entertainment.

Nothing In the closet.
Nothing on the stands.
Nothing on the floor.

Nothing untill Sanemi looked under his bed.

Underneath, Sanemi's eyes laid on a wooden box with a lock for the top lid.

I don't remember this, but nobody's here yet. The key's gotta be somewhere around here, where is it?
Sanemi looked around his room a second time untill he found a container of keys on a stand.

And Sanemi tested each one, it was the fifth key that opened the lock.

Now what in the world is this?

Sanemi's inner question was answered by what say inside the box.

Pictures, flowers, fans, and other arlomes that belonged to Sanemi's childhood.
The photo at the top was a picture of him and Genya about 11 years ago. Genya on sanemi's back, and they both seem to be happily laughing. It looked like summer.
On the frame was a withered, wax emprioded flower.

Oh, I remember this.
Summer, 1904. Genya brought me these flowers from our favorite meadow.

Sanemi couldn't help but let tears form in his eyes, but immediately noticed. He wiped them off and put everything back in the box in a desperate attempt to keep himself strong. He locked the box back up and shoved it under his bed. After he threw the key back in the container he stomped downstairs back to the training grounds.

Stupid box, stupid Genya.

Sanemi looked out the window to see more people back at the first training ground.

Welp, first part of this stuff complete. Now for the remaining 5. Let's get this over with again.

Sanemi stepped outside and started yelling at the trainee's to start, Trying to push aside his sadness. The sadness that the happy days were over. But if Sanemi tried hard enough, even happier days would begin.
