Emilio left hours ago and the clock now ticks to 3 in the afternoon. Alani just wanted the day to be over.
She served people from slow old couples to rebellious teens skipping school to messy toddlers or babies. She took orders, cleaned the tables, cleaned the floor, carried orders and even helped in the kitchen. The diner was that busy but one thing that Lani was that the diner was filled with a love that makes her feel safe. She has her fake brother Emilio and her fake mother Mrs Kinnor.
Her fake father is at the bookstore but you'll meet him later.
Whilst Alani was working, Mrs Kinnor practically forced this girl to take tiny breaks. Heck she had to remind the girl to drink water (cough cough)
You would think that working would distract Lani from the ruthless monster she calls her mind but that monster is too powerful. It's too harsh. So, as she raced around the diner, frantically giving out food, her monster mind worked just as it's owner and just thought hard.
With a life like Alanis, it's not impossible for her brain to be clouded with cruel words and cruel memories. It's also not impossible for her to multitask.
From her shit father, shit mother, shit coping mechanisms , shit childhood and shit life. The worse of the worse thoughts were always there.
You can't really be surprised that she wants to kill herself. But she won't and she can't because she has children to love and bills to pay.
However sometimes mercy is shown and she doesn't always get tortured by her own body. Like today her mind shifted to what Emilio said about his boss coming and it took her by surprise. From what Emilio tells her, he is not the type of man to go to a diner like this. Instead she saw him as a man to be disgusted ,judging and drunk in power. Lani, quite frankly, didn't care or didn't pay much attention to these type of people. In her opinion, they are boring losers that miss out on beautiful food and heartwarming love, all because they assume the diner was dirty and unhygienic.
In reality it's quite the opposite. The diners had the best system and operation just as good as an orchestra. The yellow tables sparkled so much you would mix it up for a star. Silly you. The checkered tiled floor are mopped every night and constantly cleaned throughout the day by our Alani.
It wasn't abnormally large nor was it suffocatingly tiny. It was cozy and thats what everybody admired about it.
Kinnor Diner (For All)
(except genocide supporters 🌚)So yes, it did take her by surprise however it would surely be amusing to see this large, powerful man she's envisioned in her mind in her home, the diner.
But her mind also drifted off to the mess she found this morning and felt a rush of anger. That's the effect her low-life of a father has on her. Whilst other fathers pay their daughter smallest needs and drenches them in their comforting love, her father makes her feel grey and blue.
Pain is what she always received from her father, for as long as she remembered.
Maybe it was the absence that killed her. Maybe it was the dumped responsibilities that drained her. Or perhaps it was the messy storm the comes with his rare appearances that really digs deep.
Who fucking knows.
Along with the thoughts of Emilio and his power-drunk boss and her failure of a dad came the thought of that man the Emilio chased away.
She fucking hated that man. He doesn't deserve that title because he is far worse, and that alone says a lot.
She hated how weak he made her feel. She hated how vulnerable he made her feel. She hated the power he has over her. She hated the feel of his hands on her body. She hated the panic she feels whenever he's around. She hated how dirty he made her feel. She hated how she begged him to stop and he never did.
He's a friend of her father you see, her uncle in a way. He owns the house she lives in and a large portion of the money that she works her tits off for goes to his disgusting pockets as rent.
She fucking hated that man.
Emilio doesn't know that the man done the unspeakable to her. No one knows really, Alani just always suffered by herself. However, Lio is extremely aware of how disgustingly perverted that man is. He saw how is sinful eyes dropped down to a women's only gem shamelessly. He acknowledged the slight linger of his dirty hands, touching places that he definitely shouldn't be touching.
He knows about this and is so desperate to show this pig how a true man acts and torture some morals into him. Kill him off with a smile as he watches the pleads and cry's of his regrets. But there would be no time left for forgiveness as no remorse has been showed. However, he promised Alani he wouldn't so he holds back for her and her only.
She needs that house because she saw it as a symbol of her hard work. She wanted to keep something, her one achievement. Her childhood, the good memories and the worse ones as well in that house-she struggles to let it go.
It's not that bad anymore, i guess he only liked them under 18. Perhaps he likes the thrill and danger and illegalness of breaking laws, basics morals and rules of humanity. But still, there will always be that memory as well as the sinful glances.
The little bell on top on the entrance door grabbed Alani back into reality, distracting her from the relentless thinking and cleaning.
She was in the back but didn't need to go out to see that it was Emilio. He doesn't understand his strength at times and so, whenever he enters, the dainty ding of the diners door somehow turns into an annoying bang that makes everyone flinch.
Through the tiny window, she managed to see the backs of three unknown men. Confidence violently radiated off of all of them
Lani watched as they sat down at a booth. One of the three unknown men sat next to Emilio and she was able to see his face. Her mouth slightly opened at how human he was in comparison to Emilio.
A massive smile was stitched onto his face, proudly displaying two cutie dimples. He had the most beautifully luring blue eyes that's were filled with a happiness Alani hasn't experienced in a while. She noticed that he was quite the talker because in the short time she was observing him, his mouth was constantly moving.
"He looks friendly enough" she concluded quietly to herself
Her eyes then moved to the unknown two. Instantly, she saw who the boss was. It was visibly evident. The one sitting opposite the blue-eyed guy seemed to be nodding along to whatever he was saying, his body relaxed. But the other one seemed anti-social. He ignored his peers and was looking down on his phone. Perhaps he's just had some work to do- he is a CEO of course.
But realistically she thought he was intentionally blocking them out, well specifically blue eye guy, as he seems to be talking nonsense due to the slight giggles every 5 seconds. His presence screamed "im better than you and we all know it." She found it just a tad bit intimidating.
"He seems arrogant" she again concluded quietly to herself.
But just look at her father so she quickly finished up and made herself look presentable. With a deep breath she made her way towards the table. She figured handling Lio first would be more easier for her and less nerve racking.
As she reached the table, the conversation died and the burn of the gaze of four men sizzled into her skin.
Here we fucking go.
