DARINO'S POV

Darino was not a man that likes to play around. He doesn't entertain people shit. He doesn't care how ruthless can be. Pain is his pleasure and the hidden corners of the city was were he loved to play.

From young, he learnt that this world is a cruel place and being innocent and selfless would have you at the bottom. It wouldn't get you anywhere.

Along with that, he learnt that pain makes you stronger, it gives you thick skin so you thrive in this life. So, when it comes to trauma he can't help but thank his father for giving him a lot of it. And he praises his mother everyday for making him strong with thick skin. After all, without this he wouldn't of been the leader of the worlds most powerful mafia.

He thrives in both businesses. Illegal and legal. Not many can pull that off but Darino sure did.

Because he is the worst if the worst, he's seen the worst of the worst. It was apart of life says his father it's apart of ur training he also says. But when was watching your little sister die in front of your eyes, while you're tied back and can't move become apart of life? And what's fucking worse, he wasn't even allowed to cry. His parents engraved in his mind that crying is weakness. To be a leader you can't be weak.

But all this doesn't matter now right? He's got he wanted right? To be the most powerful man in the world right? It is what he wanted...

Right?

But, all that shit that happened in his childhood was brushed away into a tiny corner of his mind. He tried to forget it, he says he won't let the past affect the now so he ignored it every time.

So the time skips to when he's 18, fresh out of the torturous training and young Darino is finally the king. His first thing he did? Killed his parents with a smile and a sigh of relief. He went out to the club shortly after as well.

Yeah, he's a fucked up man but aren't we all.

You would assume with all this trauma he wouldn't last long as this powerful title, and to an extent your right. He wouldn't last long at all. All the memories, all the shit he been through and everything that he saw would slowly eat him alive. This happened all the way until he was 19 where he drank alcohol like it was medicine as if consuming this would flush away the illness, but rather it poorly flushed away the memories.

You'll find out more in a later backstory.

He would've killed himself with substances if it weren't for his friends that soon turned into brothers. The three of them noticed that Darino wasn't darino anymore and quickly discovered his poor habits.

Flashback

Young, broken Darino sat at the table of Noah's house, a cold look on his face but he was shaking. All of the boys have been staying at his house in fear and worry that their brother might do something that would hurt everyone. Ever since they found about the torture and pain he'd been putting himself through, they couldn't help but feel a rush of sadness. It was only natural, they were brothers

Lucas sat next on Darino right placing his breakfast in front of him and gave him a reassuring pat on his head. But Darino didn't move. Emilio then came to hid left and rubbed small circles on his back. The two men, insanely worried for their brother, encouraged him to eat but Darino replied with a soft,

"No."

Noah then sat in front of him, told him off for his stupid response and threatened to feed him if he didn't start eating now. And he did, making everyone sigh of relief.

After breakfast, they all sat down on the sofa. Darino had calmed down but he still did not talk. He didn't feel like it.

"Rino, what have you been doing. You know this isn't right. We could have helped no matter what." Noah starts softly.

"He's right, it was so fucking scary seeing you passed out of the floor surrounded by alcohol. That wasn't my boss I admire and respect, that wasn't my brother I look up to. So please tell us what's been going on. Talk to us bubs" Lucas adds in a gentle voice.

Darino then looks at the concerned faces of his brother and somehow started to feel guilty. He remembered the fear on their faces and knew he never wanted to see that shit again.

"It's been a tough time for me. It looks like I can't stay strong forever, shit catches up to people" he whispers

"You're going therapy" Emilio said firmly.

End of flashback

So now, Darino had been the best he ever was. Thriving in both the legal and illegal world. Yet he still made sure to care for himself sometimes. He knew that he deserved it now.

Since then, he's gone to therapy and fixed his issues. He also knew that these three men in his life is all he'll ever need. They would all take bullets for each other. They were all they needed.

But anyway back to the story.
