I sat on the couch in the boarding house being babysit by both, Damon and Alaric. Like if they were expecting me to make a move. I felt like a kid. But I had to be patient and keep playing with them. I knew Elijah was going to let me know the moment he was back from the 'dead'. I hated Damon for what they had done to him. I had told Elijah it was a trap, but he had just not believed me. Or he had trusted Damon too much.
They both watched me closely. It was unbearable. To my luck, someone finally required Damon's attention. He picked up his phone and listened to what Elena and Stefan had to say. They at last found out that they shouldn't have pulled out the dagger with the white oak ash from my brother's heart. Damon and Alaric ran into the basement leaving me completely alone. And that was my chance to get out. Elijah was already gone for sure too. I hurried to his apartment. To my surprise, I found there only his witches, Dr. Martin and his son Luca.
"Where is Elijah?"
"We don't know. He was with you."
"Crap!" I cursed.
"Eliza, what is it?" Dr. Martin asked.
"Well, there appeared some obstacles, but don't worry. Elijah will be back in any moment," I assured him. I was sure my brother just wanted revenge. He had had a deal with Elena. But they had broken it anyway, so why should he keep his word when they had not kept theirs.
The day passed and Elijah was still gone. Which meant there was something wrong. We had to act. With Elijah's witches, we figured out the truth. My brother was once again daggered and hidden in the Salvatore basement. They were gonna regret it. Damon had never fallen so low. I had never thought he was capable of such a cruelty towards me. And if there were still any feelings for him at all, they disappeared for good now. Because I could handle anything, but not when someone dares to play games with my family repeatedly. If they wanted war, I was glad to give them war.

Since I was left alone, I didn't have much chances. The only option for me was to wait. I knew Kat was out of the tomb. Thanks to my frenemies, my brother's compulsion on Katerina had lost effectiveness and she had got out. Though it wasn't a possibility to ask her for help. Considering the relationship she had with both of my brothers. I was told Niklaus was in town. So the plan was to wait and see if I could track him down or release Elijah sooner. I wasn't sure how it would feel to see Nik after such a long time, but I was desperate. And I wanted revenge.
I had forbidden Dr. Martin and his son to take any steps in the matter with Elijah. I was about to do it myself. And I didn't want to take any chances in losing them. I needed a witch. My original plan to wait and see was no longer an option. Everything was taking so long and I needed action. Dr. Martin was getting impatient too. So my plan got into motion. The only problem was how I was going to make Elena to invite me into her home. Well, I was going to work it out somehow.
I was about to knock at the door, when a familiar person approached me, "Elizabeth? Hi." It was Jenna. How convenient for me.
"Oh, hi, Jenna. How are you?"
"I'm good. Are you visiting Elena?"
"Oh, yes, I am."
"Well, come on in then," she opened the door and let me walk in first. That was easier than I expected. Actually, it was too easy.
"Hi girls," Jenna greeted Elena, Bonnie and Caroline.
"Hey," Elena greeted with a smile, but it faded the moment she noticed me, "Elizabeth?"
"Hi, I'm sorry I didn't call, but Jenna was so kind and let me in, so... What are you doing? I hope I can join," I smiled at them.
"Girls night. Of course you can. Jenna, you joining us too?" Elena questioned, pretending to like me and not having a problem with me being there. Jenna didn't answer. "How are you doing?"
Jenna sighed, "You heard about my fight with Ric."
"He feels terrible."
"Is this some kind of disguised attempt to cheer me up?"
"No. No, no, no," Elena refuted, "this is about us girls hanging out and you know, we'll be here, if you happen to wanna talk or-"
"Because I am a winner when it comes to successful relationships," Caroline spoke up.
"Well, I don't want to brag, ladies, but I think I am a complete winner," I confessed.
"You too?" Jenna wondered.
"You have no idea," I sighed.
"Okay then," Jenna walked over to a fridge. "This is whole Isobel thing. He's hiding something from me." She pulled out a drink and sat next to Caroline.
"To play devil's advocate," Caroline bagan, "maybe there is a great reason why he's not telling you. Maybe he is just trying to protect you."
"So I take it you haven't told her anything?" I looked around the table at the three girls.
"Tell me what?" Jenna questioned.
"Well, about my brother," I continued.
"It's true I haven't seen him in a while," Jenna admited. "Has he already left town?"
"Well, something like that. He has this trait to trust other people to live up to their word. He is very noble and honorable. And this got him killed. He's dead."
"What?" Jenna looked between me and the girls. I turned to Elena, "Oh, you didn't tell her?" Elena stared at me with fear, which also radiated with hate.
"Tell me what?" Jenna demanded an answer. I smirked at Elena urging her to speak up. Otherwise, I was gonna do it.
When she did not speak, I took the chance, "Ric is not the only one who has been hiding something from you, Jenna. Right, Elena?" I was determined to make her fess up. To make her suffer a little. I loved her heart beating faster and faster out of fear that I was going to reveal everything.
"You know what we need?" Caroline asked and broke another moment of silence, while I was waiting for Elena's confession. All of us turned our attention to her. "Dancing! There is a band at the Grill."
"I am in," Bonnie agreed.
"In," Jenna joined, after her Elena and then me. Caroline might have prevented me from revealing the truth for now, but I was going to accomplish my goal sooner or later.
Not even two minutes after our arrival to Grill, a man stopped me to talk, "Eliza Mikaelson?" I turned around to face him. Did he just call me by my real name?
"Who's asking?" I asked.
"Your brother needs you," he replied. My brother? He surely meant Nik.
"Where is he then?"
"Follow me," he headed out. I followed him. My revenge on Elena could wait a little longer. Besides, with Nik, it was about to be a lot sweeter.
I followed him out. He then suddenly turned around and pierced my heart. I gasped.
I wasn't quick enough to defend myself.
I shouldn't have trusted him, or maybe
I shouldn't have put my trust in Nik.
I bowed my head to see the dagger Niklaus loved to use on us. The same that was also in Elijah's heart, keeping him out of the picture at the moment. I looked up at the man, who I supposed was Nik's witch and who Nik had sent, with disgust. Breathing became heavier with the lack of oxygen. How I hated this feeling. Soon enough, my eyes got tired and I drifted off into the darkness.⚜️⚜️⚜️
