Well, everything had gotten pretty messed up. My brother had made Stefan to turn off his emotions, which I didn't mind at all. He was a lot more fun like that. Also, Nik had left me alone in Mystic Falls. He had brought Elena's blood with him to create more hybrids. Then apparently, Katherine had stolen Rebekah's necklace. So we didn't have it. Though we didn't need it anymore. We had found out that it was Elena's blood, which was the key in turning werewolves into hybrids. So Tyler was the lucky guy, because he got to be Nik's first successful hybrid.

I knocked at the Salvatore boarding house's door. I loud music was coming from there. Damon answered the door.

"Elizabeth?" he was shocked to see me. I walked past him into the house.

"Where's Stefan?" I asked. However, my question wasn't needed at all, since Stefan was sitting on the couch in their parlor. "He left me here. My brother actually left me here," I complained to the younger Salvatore, who seemed to be occupied by watching some girls playing Twister, and whenever any of them fell, he got to feed from their vein.

"Oh, I'm sorry," Stefan said sarcastically, "your tone implies that I'm actually supposed to care." What a jerk. It didn't have anything to do with the fact that I didn't care about his opinion.

"Why are you here?" Damon questioned. I ignored him and kept my eyes at Stefan. I had finally resolved my feelings for Damon and come to an conclusion. He had been an amazing love experience, nothing more. It had been a pure love indeed, but it hadn't been the true love. That love was still waiting for me somewhere. Though I had to admit it had been the best relationship I had ever experienced.

"Which one's my room?" I gave Stefan one last chance to be nice to me. He laughed, "You're not staying here."

"Rude. I'll see to it myself," I replied and headed up the stairs to pick the one for me. I chose one and made myself comfortable. I unpacked my things and the new clothes I had bought. I needed to look ravishing if I wanted to make the best first impression on my first day of school.

I was running late, but whatever. Alaric started his lesson already.

"Welcome back seniors. Let's turn our brains back on starting with this country's original founders, the native americans."

"What about the vikings?" I entered the classroom. Everyone's eyes were on me.

"Well, there's not evidence that viking explorers actually settled in United States," Alaric replied and just when I found my seat in the front of the class, he picked up his head to look at me. I loved his surprise expression on his face. He chose the tactic of pretending that he didn't know who I was, "Who are you?" I smiled, "I'm Eliza and history is my favorite subject."

The school was a real fun. I loved it!

I joined the girls at PE. They were stretching. I stood next to Caroline, "Sounds like you have an opening for the squad." One of their cheerleader team members was dead. Stefan killed her in fact. And I was going to take her place. How exciting! And I didn't have to compel anyone for it.

Caroline didn't seem very happy to see me. "What are you doing?" I smiled while stretching my shoulders without an answer. I bent down and touched the ground with my palms and continued stretching. She didn't like that.

"Hey! Hey," she wanted my attention. I straightened up my back and faced her. "You can't just come back here and infiltrate all of our lives," she said.

"I'm only interested in yours. Your spunk, your popularity," I looked behind her at Tyler, who was training with his football team, and back at her, "and maybe even your boyfriend." I devoted her a smile. It was so easy to make her feel jealous and pissed. She wasn't able to keep her real emotions together. She was trying of course, but I knew the truth.
