Chapter 2- the countdown until school
Present day: June 8th, 2023, 8:26 AM
OMNISCIENT POV:
Devyn sat on his bed as he looked around his newly decorated room. It was reminiscent of his old one back in Tampa but a free things have been moved around and some more things have been added.
Devyn's room almost perfectly reflected his personality; clean, simple, sleek. It embodied everything he was.
He sighed as he waited for a text message from Zuri. He had been up since 5 this morning in anticipation for a text message from his best friend Zuri. Zuri was coming for the summer to hang out with Devyn but was leaving once school started in which Devyn was not ready for, so he was determined to make the most out of it.
When Devyn realized that Zuris plane wouldn't be landing anytime soon, he decided that sitting and staring aimlessly at his phone wasn't the best idea and went to go make something to eat.
The walk to the kitchen seem painfully slow to Devyn and he couldn't understand why. The house was a decent size and his room was in the second floor so the walk there only took less than a minute, but today it seemed to drag on for 5.
