Chapter 4- three-point-chaser
Continuing... September 2nd, 12:00.. Lunchtime..
Omniscient POV:
Devyn had skipped his 4th and 5th periods due to the embarrassment of getting hard from just looking at Marty. In Devyn's defense Marty was a good looking guy; but getting hard in school is an absolute all time low that no one should ever have the burden of reaching- at least that was the at Devyn saw it. Devyn walked into the cafeteria and took a look around. Lunch today was nothing special: tacos, burgers, sub sandwiches, and pizza. There were fast food stations set around that most private schools had, McDonalds, Pizza Hut, SubWay, etc. He walked to a Pizza Hut line and pulled out a 5 dollar bill and 3 1's. He grabbed his pizza and walked to a seat outside as he waited for Zuri.
Soon enough Zuri walked up to his table carrying a salad. "I'm feeling a bit petite today." Zuri said joking. "Ouu yes, a salad... very healthy.." Devyn said sarcastically. "Uhm ok but it's better than that Pizza you got, it's literally dripping with grease." Zuri pointed at the pizza and began to laugh, Devyn joining in too. "Not too much in my pizza, this shit still about to be good as fuck." Devyn said picking it up to take a bite. "Ok while you eat let me tell you about my day because I saw my man in one of my classes" Zuri squealed. Devyn almost choked on his pizza. Hearing Zuri mention 'her man' made him think of what happened with Marty earlier.
"So anyway he was talking to me y'know complimenting my hair and nails y'know sum-sum light." Zuri smiled. Devyn nodded. "So you guys talking or what?" He asked taking another bite of his pizza. Zuri began to mix her salad. "I don't know he seem like he play too much but I just know I can change him." Zuri said looking up at Devyn, all he did was nod in reply, once again taking another bite of pizza. For the remainder of lunch Devyn and Zuri talked about their classes-except Devyn left out major details on what happened in Gym.
———Time Skip——— After school.. 2:32 AM..
Marty had made a group chat with Devyn, Jennifer, and Aaron that way they could all communicate with each other for the project. They had planned to meet after school at Marty's house so that's where Devyn was going. Marty lived about 15 minutes away from the school so the walk there wouldn't be that long so Devyn didn't mind. Devyn played his playlist as he walked and thought about his "date" with Marty after. Even though it was supposed to be a many hangout as friends, Devyn liked to call it a date. After a while Devyn finally made it to Marty's house and it was high. It was a mix of Vintage and Modern but Devyn really liked it. He walked to through the lawn and made his way to the front door knocking on it and waiting for someone to come to the door.
