Chapter 13- Rollerblade to the Heart Pt. 2..
October 5th..... Saturday.... 5:58 PM.... Rollerskating Rink....
(Devyn's) Omniscient POV: Devyn and Marty exited the car and made their way to meet up with Aaron, Jennifer, and Zuri. They all decided to meet up at the entrance of the rink. The place was packed with college kids, adults, but especially high schoolers. Devyn and Marty recognized almost everyone there.
Finally they met up with the rest of the group who had already been waiting for them.
"You guys ready?" Jennifer asked as she check her phone for the time. The group all nodded their heads. They walked in being met with the sports vibe from the skating rink due to the theme.
They walked up the front desk to pay with Jennifer being first. She got her pass and walked over to the next counter to grab a key for her locker. Both Jennifer and Zuri had bought heir own personal roller-skates so they only had to grab a key and not a pair of borrowed ones.
Aaron was next, then Zuri, then Devyn. As Devyn approached the counter and greeted the cashier, he pulled out his card to pay as Marty stopped him.
"I'm paying for both of us." He told the cashier as he handed him his card. "Oh uh sure!" The cashier replied as he inserted Marty's card in the reader and paid for their passes. They then moved onto the key and roller skate counter.
"You didn't have to pay for me." Devyn spoke as they waited in like at the key counter. "You said next time I'd get to pay." He whined.
"Sorry but the tickets were a bit expensive. Buy me McDonalds after this if you really want to treat me." Marty said as he moved up to grab their keys and tell his size for the roller skates, Devyn doing the same.
They made their way over to the premium lounge area, which is what their passes gave them as a perk, to sit down and rejoin with the group.
The premium lounge was packed but Jennifer had managed to find a table for them to sit at. Devyn and Marty sat down, placing their roller skates beside them. The skating rainy itself was huge which made since as to why the premium lounge was so big. It had shops and a mini food court inside and had 48 lounge tables, each seating 6-8 people.
A person walks over to their table and confirms that the table is taken by them. They changed from their shoes and put on their skates; lacing them up and moving to the entrance of the rink. The rink was filled with all different types of people: ones who were just pros, people who clung to the rails, and the classic show offs.
The rink played the latest pop music hits as everyone in the rink skated, filling the rink with an electric-exciting energy. Almost every body there was dressed for the theme so the group fit right in.
