We reached a long corridor, where the beeping was the loudest, there were no platforms on the sides, and if one of us slipped, we wouldn't end up with just a broken bone.
"What the hell?" I reached the end, it was just.. a wall. "It's just another dead end," Minho said.
Something buzzed, and I looked down at the device I was holding, it had turned green.
The wall was opened, and there were multiple layers, ensuring security.
Shuffling and clicking sounds filled the maze, it revealed only a dark, pitch-black hole.
We all looked at each other, taking the risk to go in, "I'll go first." Minho tried to hide the trembling in his voice, "Let's just all go together, you don't have to play leader all the time." I rolled my eyes, smiling.
he just kept quiet, not in the mood for humor I guess. We all approached the hole, listening, looking for any sign of movement or sound.
Minho touched the edge of the hole, a disgusting sticky smile stuck to his hands. "Grievers."
Machinery sounds echoed from the tunnel, and a red light flashed from inside, scanning us up and down.
But then, we heard a beep, making us jump, we looked everywhere, trying to figure out where it came from.A sound hiss of air could be heard, "What the hell was that." we were all confused, groaning and clicking echoed,
"Guys, we need to go i have a bad feeling about this." The device in my hand clicked, turning red once again. We started running, and the "blades" were starting to shut, "We gotta run. we're gonna get trapped" Minho panickedly instructed us.
As we sprinted through the blades, the metal walls began flipping, almost squishing us in between, threatening to crush us if we didn't make it out in time. It seemed to shift and twist around us, disorienting us as we struggled to find our way back to safety.
"Come on, faster!" Minho shouted, leading the way, we arrived at someplace still unfamiliar, something metal lining the walls of the maze, "where .. are..we..." I managed to say between breaths.
The floor opened in front of us, two separate stone slabs lifting like doors, the metal thing was falling, we had to run or we would get crushed like bugs. We ran to the right, the floor opening behind us, and dust and smoke surrounded us, making it even harder to breathe. "Don't look back!" Minho shouted.
There was an opening on the side, it seemed to lead to the maze, but it was already shutting. "Shit!" I shouted, "Go!" we crawled into the closing walls, almost barely making it out.
Slamming onto the floor, we looked up, catching our breaths in the meantime. "What the heck was that."
"Let's head back, call a gathering. This might be our key to the way out." Minho said.We finally arrived at the glade, our breathing still shallow and rapid, Newt and the others were waiting at the entrance, I assumed they heard all the commotion, "Now, what the hell is going out there?"
"What the hell you done now, Thomas?" gally scowled,
