The next morning Erin wakes up with a headache and visions of the moments with Jay playing through her head and she can't help but smile. Meanwhile Jay wakes up with no headache but the thoughts of Erin and about what happened last night playing through his mind. Jay smiles and rolls over to grab his phone and send a quick text. Erin's phone buzzes on the bed side table, she picks it up and reads the text from Jay 'morning, last night was great :)' Erin smiles happy that Jay remembers the kiss too, 'Morning, yes it was :). See you at work?' She send back 'of course' Jay responds and Erin smiles and heads for the shower to get ready for work. About an hour and a half later Erin is walking in work and heading upstairs to her desk, Jay walks in a few minutes later and hands her a cup of coffee. "Thank you" she says and smiles, Jay nods his head and smiles back. "Alright what do we have new on this case" Hank says as he walks in. The unit is currently knee deep in a Gang violence case in which 2 little girls were hit in the cross fire and 2 21 year old were kidnapped as revenge. "Nothing new sarge, we're trying to flip the guy we grabbed up yesterday but so far no luck" Adam says "we'll find something he cares about and threaten, people change their minds quickly when it comes to people they love" Hank says and looks over at Erin as the same time Jay looks at her, Erin notices neither as she is working on the case and has her head buried in the computer files. A few hours later the team was grabbing their coats and heading out for the day. "Hey what are you doing tonight are you free?" Jay asked Erin as he stood in front of her desk. "I don't have anything planned" she responded "I'll pick you up at 6 for dinner" Jay says and Erin smiles "I'll be ready" she responds and Jay smiles and they both begin walking out.
A few hours later Erin it's putting in her earrings as she hears a knock on the door. She takes another look at herself in the mirror and heads to open the door. She is greeted by a smiling Jay who reaches for her hand "you look beautiful as always" he says and leans over to gently kiss her cheek. "Thank you, you look amazing per usual" Erin responded and they both smiled as Jay opened her door and then began driving to the restaurant.
