"Cheers" Erin says and smiles as she clinks her beer against jays and they both take a sip without breaking eye contact. The night had continued on, everyone was having a great time drinking, sharing funny stories and just hanging out as a group of friends. The night got away before they could realize it and it was now one in the morning, the first to leave was Antonio followed by Kevin Adam and Kim leaving just Jay. Jay and Erin were sitting on the couch talking and finishing up their last beers, they had a few but they didn't go overboard. Jay checked his watch to see the time read 2AM "it's pretty late" Jay said "I should probably get going" he continued and looked over to Erin, her cheeks were slightly red from the wine she was drinking and her hair was falling perfectly over her eyes.
*Jays POV*
She looked so perfect, I think this was my chance what I was feeling right now was getting harder and harder to push down. I reached my hand up and brushed her hair back out her eyes and smiled. She looked up at me with those heartbreaker brown eyes and I lost it, all self control I had was gone I needed to kiss her.
*Erins POV*
What Adam said to me has been running through my brain all night and to be honest since I've been back in Chicago I've felt a whole lot happier than I was in NYC to partly because I'm back with my family, I was lost without Hank and Antonio and Al but an even bigger part is because of Jay. He just brushed my hair away from my eyes and those same butterflies filled my stomach again and now I've caught myself staring at his lips just waiting for him to kiss me. I catch myself and look up to meet his beautiful emerald eyes and smile.
*General POV*
The tension is thick between them and the silence is deafening as they sit and stare into each others eyes. Finally it's broke with two words spoken by Erin, "Kiss me" she says and jay wasted no time smashing his lips against her and a long awaited kiss. They kiss for a minute Erin's arms wrapped around jays neck and jays hand resting on her hip and lower back. Finally Jay pulls away, "I've waited a very long time to do this again but not tonight. You don't deserve just a late night drunk kiss your worth more than that to me. Let'a start this off right, sober." Jay said and Erin nodded in agreement and smiled, "I'll walk you to the door" Erin said and Jay smiled and got up pulling Erin with him. They walked to the door and Jay stoped and turned after stepping out, "until next time" Erin said as she leaned in the kiss him. "It won't be long" Jay says confidently and they both smile as Jay walks away and Erin shuts the door.
