Chapter 18: Gun Fire

The next morning Erin woke up to her alarm blaring, she opened her eyes slowly as she did her best to fight off the sleepiness. Morning in general were not Erin's hung but early mornings were even worse. She managed to drag herself out of bed and make her first coffee of the day before she made some breakfast and headed for the shower. Meanwhile Jay began getting ready for work with no problem, with his history in the army's he's adapted to becoming both and morning person and a night owl, he's basically and all day person at this point even though he does enjoy his sleep a whole lot. About an hour passed and now Erin and Jay had both happen to be walking in at the same time, they smiled at each other as they walked and talked. "Rough morning? You haven't said much" Jay said and Erin smiled  loving how well he knew her. "Still not a morning person and it doesn't help that I woke up with a major headache" Erin says as they come to a stop just before the turn the corner to the front door of the district. "Hopefully we can find a way to make the rest of the day go better" Jay says as he presses a kiss to the side of her head before they turn and walk into the district. Jay opens the door and holds it for Erin then walks in behind her. They both said good morning to Trudy and then head upstairs to start the work day. The day was pretty easy, they finish up a couple cases and then did mostly paper work. Erin got some spring from Adam which helped with her headache. "5021 George hold us down on that robbery in place" Jay says as he comes walking out of Hanks office with Hank close behind. Everyone grabs their coats and heads for the garage, Erin gets in the drivers seats flicks the lights and sirens on and races to the location of the robbery. When they arrive at the location everyone immediately draws their weapons as the gun fire from the wearhouse seems to become louder.
