HARRY STYLES

It's 5:00 in the morning and I'm wide awake as I lie on my side and watch Jane and Lana cuddle together on the other side of my bed. Jane has her arm thrown over Lana's neck and Lana is holding her close, and I can't stop staring at both of them. I can't get over whatever this feeling is inside my chest of the purest peace and tranquility I've ever felt in my life. My two favorite people in the world are right here with me and my heart feels whole again.

When Lana asked me if she could come over last night, I was honestly bracing myself for the talk. I was convinced she was going to tell me that she didn't want to keep pursuing whatever we were doing with each other anymore and I was trying to come to terms with that before it even happened. I was trying to tell myself that everything would be fine, and then she kissed me. She kissed me and I realized just then how much I actually need her and that everything would not have been fine if she left me for good. I would have fallen apart at the seams and she would have been the only person who could stitch me up, but now she's here and I don't have to think about that anymore.

It's not until closer to 6:00 when she starts to shift around, but then seems to remember that Jane is cuddling her and she stops. I lift my head to see her rubbing her eyes before she starts to smile, and she lifts her head to look for me too. When she finds that I'm already looking at her, she drops her head back on the pillow and closes her eyes as her smile grows.

"What do you want for breakfast?" I whisper.

She forces her eyes open again to look at Jane. "Don't you have to go to work?"

"Not today. I'm calling in sick."

"Really?" Her smile returns.

I nod and lean over to kiss Jane's cheek twice and get Lana's lips once. "I've been wanting this for too long. I want to enjoy it for at least one day."

She gives me a sympathetic look before Jane suddenly rolls over toward me. I relax on the mattress and hold her as Lana scoots closer to both of us. We can easily see each other with Jane's head further down on the pillow and I sincerely hope she's just as happy as I am as she stares back at me.

"I can't tell you how much I missed you," I close my eyes as she reaches her hand over to push her fingers through my hair.

"I know because so did I," she replies just as quietly. "I still need to tell you about my conversation with Allison. It was really good."

"When did you talk?"

"The day before your birthday," she says. "I know I probably should have come to you right away, but I wanted to wait."

"Well, it was a hell of a birthday present," I look down as Jane adjusts her head on the pillow, sleeping soundly with parted lips and her cheek squished.

Lana adjusts the blanket to cover Jane more, and I suddenly have a burning desire to stay right here for the rest of my life. I wouldn't have to go to work and neither would Lana. We'd stay right here, warm and safe forever.

"You should sleep more," I move the duvet higher up Lana too. "I'm going to call Hayden and make breakfast."

She closes her eyes as I press my lips to her cheek and reluctantly get out from under the covers. I tug my hoodie on over my t-shirt and pull a pair of socks on to keep my feet warm on the cold hardwood floor, cracking my bedroom door shut behind me.

"Hello?" Hayden answers.

"Hey, how's it going?"

"Good. Just about to head out. What's up?"
