Decisions

I yanked my earbuds out and turned around.

"Hi?" I said blushing deep red to the man who had interrupted my run. He was strikingly handsome. Blonde hair, green eyes, perfectly toned body.

"Um, hello." He answered with a smile. "I just, was wondering, if maybe we could workout together." He seemed nervous as he talked.

"Actually the cardio part of my workout is done." I said, not realizing he was trying to hit on me.

"Oh, okay then...I'm sorry, but I didn't catch your name." He said blushing again.

"Kate, Kate Roisin." I said shyly.

"Hi, my name is Dan. Seeing as your workout is done, how about we go grab a bite to eat?" My heart was beating in my ears, this was the first time in a long time that a guy was actually asking me out.

Not thinking clearly I agreed. I followed his pickup truck to the diner down the road and we sat down at a booth.

"Text me sometime, beautiful," He said after he paid the bill for dinner. "It was really fun hanging out with you. Maybe we can do it again."

"I wish this night didn't have to end so early, Danny." I said, completely forgetting about my fiancé at home.

He kissed me, deeply and with a passion I had not felt before, as if he was a different species. "Goodnight, baby." He said as we walked to our cars.

I looked down, 8 o'clock. Oh lord, it's really late, I've gotta get home to Ji-. JIM. Oh god, I'm in deep. I just completely fell for this blonde haired guy who I have so much in common with, but I'm engaged, as of today. I checked my phone, 10 new texts from Jim.

I rushed home, only to find him asleep. I crawled in next to him and cuddled close, kissing him hard before checking my phone again, 2 new texts from Danny.

"Babe, just wondering, would you like to hang out tomorrow night" and "we could go see this movie, I think you'll like it." was all they said.

I texted him back, feeling the butterflies in my stomach as I did. I was falling in love with him every second.

"Sure! Can't wait! ;*" I answered and fell asleep with the phone in my hand. Tomorrow was going to be a difficult day.
