I finished packing my work bag and we went home. I was all I over him, it was probably pretty comical from an outsiders point of view, but hey he was adorable and officially mine. Forever.
"What are we gonna do when we get home babe?" I asked him, I had my hand on his lap as he drove home and he had his right arm over my shoulder.
"Mmm, I'm not sure sweet heart, I'm sure you'd like to start planning." He said with a big smile.
"Planning? I asked.
"Sure!" He answered, "I called that hall that you've always told me you wanted to get married at last night while you were in the shower, and their next available date is in July, so we've only got like 11 months to plan...and from what I've heard, that's not a lot of time for this sort of thing."
"Awwwwh but babe, I don't want to start getting into all that stuff today." I said whining.
He pulled into our driveway. "Baby you should really get started, at least. Think, what's something you feel like starting with that we can do today."
We walked inside and sat on the couch, he turned on ESPN and relaxed.
I giggled. "How about we start planning our honeymoon." I shifted so that I was straddling his lap. "We could even have a full dress rehersal." I kissed him deeply and teased him.
He lifted me up and set me back on the couch. "How about no. Babe, there's much more to think about other than the honeymoon." He started flipping through the television channels. "Like who you want to invite, who our Dj is gonna be, what we are gonna eat. How about your dress? You've gotta pick one of those out too."
I frowned. "Fine, I'm going to pick out my dress." I stood up and grabbed his keys. "I probably won't be home until late cause I'm gonna go to the gym afterwards." He nodded, I left.
He seemed uninterested, almost like he just didn't want to help at all, yet wanted so bad to tell me what to do. I must've seemed crazy, walking into the bridal shop all alone and upset.
"Hi, how may I assist you?" Said the clerk as I walked in.
"I'm just looking for a, for a wedding gown." I said quietly, almost not believing the word escaping my lips.
"Okay, when is your wedding?" The overly cheery girl asked.
"In July." I said with a frown.
"Okay, well here are all of our different styles, just let me know what you like when you are finished and we will hold on to it for you." She said seeing that I was not in a good mood.
"Thanks." I said shortly.

After looking over dozens of different styles of dresses, I decided that it wasn't that important to have my dress picked out this early, and I might want Jim with me when I do it. I headed out of the store and hopped into the car. It was only two o'clock, I could get in a nice long workout and be home by four, maybe five if I wanted.
Just as I pulled up to the gym I got a text from Jim. "Babe, on your way home, pick up some milk, we just ran out." I turned off my phone, I didn't feel like talking to him right now.
As I walked into the gym, my spirits were immediately lifted. I headed into the locker room and changed.
Walking back out to start my workout, I turned my phone back on so I could listen to my music. Sticking my earbuds in and hopping on the tread mill I escaped the world and completely forgot about my anger from earlier. I was feeling lonely, lonelier than a newly engaged woman should feel, until I felt a tap on my shoulder.
