Four Legged Friend

I sighed and led Danny into the master bedroom.

"Well that was awkward." He said softly as I started towards the bathroom. I just shook my head.

"If you need anything don't be afraid to help yourself, the kitchen is down the hall and there's another bathroom two doors down the hall on the right. I'm gonna take a shower, be out in a few." I called out as I started to get ready for my shower.

"Okay Kate." I heard him say.

I started the shower and took my, Jim's, ring off. Examining it closer I saw the engraving on it for the first time. In script it read: "I will love you forever." Tears started to fall from my eyes. I wrapped my towel around myself and grabbed my phone. Sobbing I called Jim.

"I...I love you. Please accept my apology. I can't do this, I won't do this." I cried into my phone but as I looked up he was standing in my bathroom doorway, tears streaming down his face.

"No apology needed baby. I love you. I knew you'd make the ri-" He was cut off.

"Last I heard you weren't welcome in this bedroom." Said Danny with what sounded like a snarl in his voice.

Jim wheeled around. "Listen buddy, this is my bedroom, this is my fiancé, and I suggest that you pack your stuff, fast."

Danny flexed as if he was trying to frighten Jim. "Yeah, yeah. You're big and all but I could tear you limb from limb before you were able to feel it. Now do as I said and leave." Jim hissed.

There was a growl and Danny had turned into a huge four legged beast and lunged at Jim who threw him off with ease.

"Don't let him bite you! It's lethal to our kind!" I screamed out as I jumped on top of Danny and pinned him down. I hit him hard in the head as Jim went to get Damon. Thankfully he had passed out from the blow and I was able to relax slightly.

"Well, well, well. Inviting random guys home, gone wrong shall we say?" Damon asked as he walked in. "I've got a muzzle. Lets dump him in the woods, he'll wake up as a confused human, and a naked one at that." He picked up his limp body. "Or I'll just do it." He said as he noticed that neither of us were going anywhere.
