Author POV

After much contemplation, Jimin finally decided to go with the flow, at least for now. Stressing over his situation wouldn’t change anything overnight, and honestly, he was tired of the constant weight pressing down on his shoulders. He would let things be as they were-just for a while.

For now, he was managing his daily expenses with the money he had earned from the concert, along with the amount he had diligently saved every month for his training. However, that wasn’t enough to sustain him in the long run. He had been desperately searching for a job, but nothing seemed to offer the kind of money he was making through his side compared to drug dealing. As much as he wanted to walk away from it, reality wasn’t that simple. But right now, he chose to push those thoughts aside and focus on something more immediate-his classes. Worrying about his circumstances wouldn’t do him any good, so he decided to prioritize his education, at least for today.

Throughout the day, Yoongi stuck to Jimin like a shadow, refusing to leave his side. He assisted him with everything little things, big things, even things Jimin hadn’t asked for. And while Jimin knew Yoongi meant well, he couldn’t shake off the feeling that he was being pitied. The mere thought of it made his skin crawl. He had never liked being looked down upon, never wanted anyone to see him as someone in need of sympathy. And yet… there was something about Yoongi’s quiet care that warmed him. As much as he hated the idea of being treated like a helpless case, there was no denying that a part of him one buried deep within was melting under Yoongi’s attention.

As the day progressed, both boys finished their respective tasks and decided to return to the dorm earlier than usual. The sky had darkened ominously, thick clouds looming overhead, signaling the arrival of a fierce storm. The weather forecast had already warned of heavy rain accompanied by strong winds, and it was best not to take any risks.

Now back in their dorm, both lay sprawled on their respective beds, lost in their own worlds as they scrolled through their phones. The only sounds filling the room were the soft taps of fingers against screens and the occasional gusts of wind rattling against the window. But then, Jimin’s phone suddenly chimed with a notification, the sound cutting through the silence like a blade.

Yoongi’s eyes instinctively snapped toward him, his sharp gaze narrowing as he silently questioned what had happened. His expression alone was enough to convey his curiosity.

Jimin glanced at the message before looking up. "Umm… actually, Kazuya Hyung is nearby at a store. He wants to have a quick talk with me. I’ll just go meet him for a few minutes, Hyung," he explained, his voice casual but slightly hesitant.

Yoongi’s jaw clenched at the mention of that name. His expression darkened, eyes turning unreadable as he exhaled sharply. Then, in a low, firm voice, he declared, "No. I'm coming with you. It's not safe to go out alone in this kind of weather."

Jimin blinked at the sudden shift in Yoongi’s tone but eventually hummed in agreement, nodding his head.

On the way out, Yoongi grabbed the car keys from Taehyung, not willing to take any chances given the worsening weather.

Once they reached the parking area, they slipped into the car, the engine roaring to life as Yoongi gripped the steering wheel tightly. The atmosphere inside the vehicle felt heavier than the storm brewing outside. And as the car pulled out of the lot, Jimin couldn't help but steal a glance at Yoongi, wondering what exactly was going on inside his head.

Because one thing was certain - Yoongi’s reaction wasn’t just about the weather.
