Author's POV:

Since that day, everything seemed to be running smoothly, at least on the surface. Kazuya had apologized to Jimin, and while it was an awkward encounter at first, the two managed to settle into better terms. Their conversations were polite, almost cordial, and the tension that once hung in the air began to dissolve. But not everyone was pleased.

Yoongi, with his sharp gaze and colder-than-usual demeanor, couldn't hide his disapproval. He watched the situation unfold from the sidelines, a silent storm brewing beneath his calm exterior. His irritation was palpable, though he chose not to voice it, at least, not yet.

As for Jimin, he was stuck in a corner, feeling helpless about the whole thing. Kazuya, after all, was the only person willing to offer him work when no one else would. Swallowing his pride, Jimin played along, though it left him walking on eggshells.

Meanwhile, Lia had fallen into an unsettling silence. The lively spark that usually surrounded her was absent, replaced by an unnerving calm. She kept to herself, her thoughts hidden behind an unreadable expression. Something was off, and everyone could feel it, though no one dared to address it.

MEANWHILE WITH KAIHOPE

Aghh hyung....mmngh I'm really sorry .
I didn't know that guy really had some bad intentions about me .

Jhope said breathing heavily.

FLASHBACK

Jhope was pacing the room like a caged tiger, his frustration bubbling over as he shared his dilemma with Jungkook and Jin. He had just found out that Kai, his Kai, had loved him back all along, yet here he was, paralyzed by fear, too much of a coward to confess his feelings.

"Why am I like this?!" he groaned, throwing his hands in the air.

Jin and Jungkook exchanged a look, a smirk tugging at their lips as a mischievous plan formed in their minds. "You know what, Hoseok? If you won't confess, we’ll help you," Jin said, his tone is far too innocent.

Jungkook chimed in, “Exactly. Nothing works better than a little jealousy. We'll set you up on a date. A blind date. That’ll get Kai hyung’s attention for sure.”

Hoseok hesitated but eventually caved under their relentless persuasion. The next thing he knew, Jin and Jungkook had orchestrated everything, the guy, the cafe, the timing. Hoseok found himself sitting at XYZ Cafe with some random guy, pretending to be interested, while his mind was a million miles away, tangled up in thoughts of Kai.

Kai’s POV

After wrapping up preparations at the XXX club to catch the damned spy, I returned to headquarters, ready to find Hobi. Today was important, but honestly, all I wanted was to see him, to make sure he was okay, to just be around him.

But he wasn’t there.

Frowning, I approached Jin hyung, hoping for an answer. “Hyung, where’s Hoseok?”

Jin didn’t even flinch as he delivered the blow. “Oh, he’s out. We arranged a blind date for him at XYZ Cafe. Some random guy, nothing serious.”

The words hit me like a freight train. I froze, my mind blanking for a split second before spiraling into chaos. A date? With someone else? My chest tightened painfully, and I could barely breathe.

Did I lose him?

Did he never love me back?

A tear escaped before I even realized my vision had blurred. My hands curled into fists, anger and despair battling within me. I’m such a coward. All these years of loving him from afar, and I couldn’t even tell him how I felt.
