Mingyu’s eyes widened in horror. “She has my brother?! How is this even possible. You bitch how dare you I'll kill you!! ”
Lia’s voice dripped with triumph. “Oh, so this is how you look when you're scared. Adorable. You see, if I’m going down… I’m taking the heart out of your empire first. And language big brother one wrong move and you will lose your brother forever. And Yoongi now I'm really jealous of Jimin. ”
On the screen, Jimin’s limp figure hung under the cold, silver blade, breath shallow, skin bruised. The room he was in had no windows. Just steel. Just silence. Just death.
Then Lia’s voice rang out again through the speakers, sweet like poison.
“Tick tock, darling. One minute left. Now!! Now!! Now!!I want Kaito standing in front of me. Alive!!. Or Jimin… won’t be.”
Her tone darkened.
“And if you try anything clever, just one step out of line and his head rolls first. Make a choice. Yoongi Darling I hope you're wise enough to take your decision carefully baby”
Yoongi’s face was frozen. Pale. Lips pressed into a line that trembled slightly. He didn’t blink. He didn’t move. His entire being was anchored to that screen. Jimin, his Jimin, hung there like a rag doll, unaware that he was seconds away from possibly dying.
Everyone in the room was dead silent.
Even Jungkook and Taehyung, always the loudest, didn’t speak.
Then, Mingyu muttered, brokenly, “She’ll do it. She’s not bluffing, Yoongi.”
Yoongi didn’t respond.
Namjoon leaned in, whispering, “There’s still a chance. We can delay, decoy or create a diversion, What do you say Hyung?”
But Yoongi’s voice cut through like ice.
“No more chances.”
He turned toward the comms, hit the line directly to Kaito’s earpiece.
“Kaito… go.”
Everyone looked up in shock.
“Yoongi” Taehyung began, but Yoongi raised a hand.
Mingyu stepped forward, eyes heavy with defeat. “He’s right. If we don’t send him... Jimin dies. That’s not a risk we can take.”
J-Hope looked furious. “You’re sending him into the lion’s den!”
Kai, immediately at Kaito’s side via comms, barked, “I’m coming in too.”
But Kaito’s voice cut in firm and clear from the other side.
“No, Kai. You stay. You all stay. This is what I came back for, remember?”
Yoongi’s voice cracked for the first time.
“Just stall her. Buy us time. Don’t let her touch him. Don't do something stupid . Please”
This is the first time people saw Yoongi pleading and losing his cold demeanour.
Lia laughed wickedly after watching and said in a sarcastic way " OH !! This bitch is your weakness baby??? How sad he won't last long tho. I'm sorry darling but YOU'RE ONLY MINE!!"
While Kaito started walking toward the inner chamber of Lia’s mansion now, he swallowed hard, and responded with a small smile in his voice through the ear piece.
