(Jc's Pov)
"Don't you have another roommate though?" Ricky says, breaking me from my focus. I swallow and concentrate on the screen. "Yeah, but Jj's usually hanging out with his sister and shit like that." I explain; bluntness flooding my tone. "Oh..." Ricky mumbles softly. "SHIT! OH GOD, OH GOD! RIIICCKY! NOO!" I yell, standing up and moving my body with my controller. "Ha! I'm beating you!!" Ricky yells over me, accompanying his "phrase" with insane laughter. "NOOO! SHERBET LAND IS MY LEVEL, I ALWAYS WIN!!" I shout, knocking his controller out of his hands.
"JC! YOU JERK!" He whines, retrieving his controller from the ground; giggling. "I WON! I WON! In ya face!" I yell, throwing the controller on the couch and flailing my arms around. "I guess this means I'm boss as shit." I taunt, turning around and smacking my butt in his face. "Okay, I get it." He chuckles. I continue to smack my butt and dance around like an idiot, in attempt to rub it in more. "Jc!" Ricky whines, as I rub my butt on him. "Stooooppp!" He yells, slightly laughing. "You know you love it." I chuckle, sitting on the couch next to him.

(Kian's Pov)
I re-adjust my bow tie and take one last glance in the mirror, to make sure I look okay. "Hey mel!?" I call out. "What's up, Kian!?" She shouts back. "You ready?" I lower my voice, as I make my way upstairs. "ALMOST!" She shouts, almost shattering my eardrum. "Right here." I chuckle, placing my palm on her shoulder. "Holy fuck! You scared me." She exhales. I smile and close into her lips, she does the same. "You look gorgeous." I smile, pulling away. "Thanks, you look good, too." She giggles, looking back in the mirror. "Are you sure I look okay?" She asks quietly, moving strands of hair out of her face and wiping any smudges of makeup away. "Why would I lie to you?" I chuckle, snaking my arms around her waist and placing soft kisses down her jawline.
"Alright," she claps her hands, causing me to jump and let go of her. "You ready?" She finishes and I nod. She smiles brightly and walks down stairs, I follow close behind until we get in the car. "So... Where are you taking me?" She asks as we pull out of the driveway. "It's top secret, if you were to ever find out, you'd have to lose all contact with everyone you know." I say blankly. "Well then.." She giggles.
After a little while of silence, we pull onto a gravel road. "Okay, from what you said and where we are, I feel like you're planning my assassination." She jokes, shifting in her seat. I stay silent, just to freak her out because... Well, I am Kian afterall. I keep my eyes on the bumpy gravel as the sky light grows dim. I've planned a little something, granted, I kind of pulled it from one of Jc's ideas. Don't judge me, Jc is the most hopeless romantic dude I know, he has some pretty awesome ideas.
I set up a picnic type thing, but I brought my grandpas old movie projector and some jars to catch fireflies. We eventually pull up to Jc's masterpiece, that I made into reality.
I heard a small gasp from thr right of me, I smiled knowing that she liked it. "This isn't even the majority of it, Mel." I say, grabbing the stuff from the back. "What could you possibly do to make this get anymore perfect, Kian?" She asks, kneeling down in the tall grass. "You'll see... Didn't you say you have a facination with like.. Old things?" I mumble, spreading a blanket down on a section without any bumps or grooves." Yeah, like antiques and junk.. What were you planning for tonight?" She asks, breaking the comfortable silence that set in moments ago. " Well, I thought we could watch the sunset, a movie and finish off the night with catching fireflies." I explain, plopping down beside her on the blanket. "Well, I think that's a little much, Mr. Romance." She giggles, making me have second thoughts about my plans. "Oh.." I sound, my voice filled with confusion and disappoint.
"I was kidding, Kian. But I don't believe I deserve this mu-" She starts, "You deserve the world." I interupt. "Kian.."
"Hm?"
"You don't have to lie to me, I understand."
"I'm not lying. You're perfect, Mel. Everything about you, every 'imperfection' (That I can't see), your amazing brain, your ability to cope with stress for immense amounts of time. Everything." I state with all honesty that I carry within.
She looks up at me, and glances back down. "What's wrong?" I ask; she stays silent and shakes her head. " I'm having a hard time believing you, Kian." She confesses under her breath. I place my fingers gently under her chin motioning her to meet my gaze. She struggles and fights against it. "Look at me." I suggest. She finally gives in and looks deep into my eyes. I examine her teary ones, before leaning down until our noses touch. "Believe it." I mumble, cutting myself off by kissing her softly.
I pull away and wipe away her tears. "I love you, Kian." She whispers, smiling weakly. I sit up and fiddle with the projector, hoping to make it function, but failing in the process. "Well, atleast we still have food." I shrug, standing up and walking to the car to grab the basket. Shortly I find myself turning on my heel and walking toward Melody, empty handed. "Hey Mel?"
"Yes?" She replies, turning her head towards me.
"Taco bell sound okay?"
She giggles softly and stands up. "Forget the food?" I nod in embarassment. "Yes Kian, taco bell sounds great." She giggles.
