"Oscar come on baby, put your shoes on" Lucy shouts to her four year old son.
"No momma!" He crosses his arms and stomps on the floor, Lucy chuckles at his pathetic behaviour, she runs over to him and picks him up and tickles him."Momma! Stop!" He laughs trying to pull away.
"Not until you put your shoes on for preschool, momma has to get to work" Lucy says still tickling him, Oscar giggles and runs out of breath, Lucy was a high ranked detective at the local division.
"O-okay fine mommy" he replies and Lucy smiles.Lucy was about to grab her work bag until there was a knock on the door, she wasn't expecting anyone..so it was abit strange.
She got up and walked towards the door
and opened the door, there was two fully uniformed service members from the army."mrs Lucy Chen-Parker?" One of them ask and Lucy nodded.
"Is my husband okay? Why are you here?" Lucy asks and the two uniformed officers look at eachother and back at lucy."we are sorry to inform you, your husband Cole Parker has deceased during service" one of them reply..Lucy gasps and shakes her head and drops to the floor, loud sobs racked her body..
Her life was over..

Well that's what she thought anyway, six months later she couldn't stay in Phoenix much longer, everything just reminded her of her deceased husband. So she packed everything up and moved to a small city, Mid Wilshire. She bought her and her son a small apartment to live in for now, she wants a fresh start, of course her husband is always going to be in her memories, heart and mind but she needs to stay strong and carry on for their son.
She signed Oscar up for the local preschool and she managed to get a place at mid wilshire station, with a bit of help by her last watch commander.
She stands outside the LAPD clutching onto her hand bag nervously, she felt like a panic attack was going to come on..she couldn't do it, maybe she should just turn around and leave??
She takes a big deep breath and turns around and bumps into a large muscular man.
"Woah watch where your going boot!" He roars, Lucy frowns at his tone.
"I'm- I'm not-" she stutters and he shakes his head and storms off.
"I don't want to hear it. You better hope I am not your training officer because I will make your life a living hell" he screams and pushes past Lucy, Lucy watches him walk off and sighs.Luckily there was a brunette officer walking over.
"Sorry he's an ass. He's going through a hard time" the officer says, Lucy frowns
"Aren't we all" she rolls her eyes.Angela doesn't reply, she just puts her hand out "Angela Lopez" she says and Lucy half smiles "Lucy Chen-Parker...just call me Lucy Chen though."she says and zones out when she hears her husbands last name, she is still grieving for him..she doesn't know how she will get over his death..she trying to have a fresh start at mid wilshire however.
"Nice to meet you. Anyway I've got to go. I need to snap that tall idiot out of his mood before we get our batch of rookies" she says and skips off.Well what a wonderful start already.
