Nyla got to the shop after lunch and realises that Lucy had been crying..Lucy was zoned out but when the shop door slammed shut Lucy immediately snapped back into it turned away from Nyla and wiped her eyes and sniffled.

"hey. Don't let that asshole get to you okay? " Nyla says rubbing Lucy's shoulder and Lucy looks down and nods, Nyla frowns suspiciously..
"You're not upset about him are you..?" Nyla asks slowly and Lucy doesn't answer, Nyla sighs.

"look we've known eachother what? Half a shift, and I really think we are going to get along Lucy and I really like you. But if I'm going to be your work partner I need to know what's going on, or well. At least know if there's anything that could knock your head out the game and put not just yours, my life in danger ." Nyla says and Lucy shakes her head.
"Everything is good detective harper. Let's get back to the case" Lucy says dryly, Nyla frowns again at Lucy's change of tone but starts the shop anyway and head back to the case.

Lucy was putting a front on, trying not to show any emotion, she was dry and snappy with Nyla which sort of concerned Nyla..Lucy was a bubbly outgoing person before lunch.

At the end of shift they were filling out paperwork's, and Nyla looked at Lucy "are you sure everything is okay.?" She asks and Lucy nods and gives Nyla the reports.
"Do you mind handing them in I have somewhere to be" she says knowing she has to pick her son up from preschool.
"Uh yeah sure." Nyla says and walks off.

Nyla was flicking through the reports until she saw Lucy's signature lucychenparker.
Nyla looks at it for a few seconds but then decides to keep it quiet, she's starting to think Tim's abit right..they don't know anything about Lucy..

Lucy was heading out then grey suddenly shouted of her.
"Chen" he says and Lucy puts a wall up, and produces a fake smile.
"hey sarge" she says skipping over.
"Take it your first day went well?" He asks gesturing to Lucy's body language.
"Other than Bradford. Yeah it went well, everyone is so welcoming. I really see a future here" she says happily and grey smiles
"I'm glad my officers have made you feel comfortable. Okay. You head off now and collect that cutie of yours, I'll see you tomorrow Chen" grey says waving Lucy off, Lucy smiles softly.

"See you tomorrow sarg" she says and walks off.
she picked up Oscar and decided to treat him by taking him bowling then taking him for ice cream. It was the two of them against the world, and she isn't going to let ass hole Bradford put her down.

Over the next few days Nyla started to think something was wrong with Lucy, and that there was something she wasn't telling anyone.
Her and Angela were in the break room making coffees, nyla was thinking to loud.
"your thinking too loud." Angela states stirring her coffee
" huh? Sorry" nyla mumbles sipping her coffee.
"What's up?" Angela asked.
"can't help but think there's something weird about Lucy."
