Tim steps out the room and he has to take a breath before doing anything..he feels so guilty of how he's treat her..all he's thought about is himself.

He pulls his phone out his pocket and dials grey.
"go for grey" he answers the phone.
"Hey sarg, Oscar is fine. He had surgery, just abit of a broken arm" Tim tells grey and he sighs in relief.
"Good they've been through enough-" grey says without thinking and immediately regrets it thinking Tim didn't know.
"Oh- I mean..with Lucy being a cop and everything" grey stuttered and Tim sighs.

"I know about Cole. She told me while we were waiting for her son to get out of surgery." Tim states.
"It's awful isn't it." Grey sighs and so does Tim.
"Yeah." Tim agrees.
"So you two going to stop being asses to each other now?" Grey chuckles trying to lighten the mood
"Yeah. I got to go now, I was just calling to update you, I'll speak later" Tim says and hangs up.

He rubs a hand over his face before going to the cafeteria, he didn't really know what Oscar would have liked so he just grabbed him a chocolate muffin with a carton of milk, he decided to also buy Lucy a muffin too with an overly sugared coffee.

He walks back to Oscar's room and knocks on the door before walking in.
"Hey I brought you muffins and drinks before I leave" he says softly,
Oscars eyes lighten up
"Yay!" He says immediately accepting the milk and muffin off Tim.
"What do we say?" Lucy asks giving her son a pointed look.

"Thanks mr nice idiot"Oscar smiles and takes a big bite out of his muffin. Tim shoots Lucy a look before laughing.
"Thanks Tim." Lucy smiles and tim shakes her off.
"Hey it's good, don't thank me honestly. I'm going go head back to the station to finish some things. I will pop back later" he says and Lucy nods and looks at Oscar who's now covered in chocolate muffin.

"Buddy you going to say bye to Tim?" She asks softly and Oscar looks at Tim and smiles showing his chocolate covered mouth and teeth.
"Bye!!" He shouts and Tim smiles.
"bye kiddo, remember biggest and expensive toy" Tim winks and Lucy hits Tim's arm and walks him out the room, they stand in the hallway to talk.

"Mr nice idiot?" Tim raises an eyebrow and laughs, lucy breaks into a laugh
"I may have or may not have called you an idiot" she chuckles and Tim shakes his head with a smile.
"Call me if you need anything, I can drop your car in later if you message me your locker code for your keys. But yeah, If you need anything at all, even if it's small, I'm a phone call away Lucy. I mean it." Tim says softly and Lucy smiles, it was the first genuine smile she's had in a while.
"Thanks Tim" she thanks him.

Tim starts to walk off but turns to her
"For what? Doing my job?" He smirks and turns back to walk out the hospital.

Over the next few days Tim came to the hospital a few times to check on them both and to drop their things in, now no one but Tim and Grey knew about Oscar. Lucy still wanted to keep her personal life and her work life as separate as it could be. Lucy was taking a few personal days, everyone at the station was told it was a family emergency as they didn't know about her son.

Oscar was discharged, Tim dropped Lucy's car at the hospital so she was able to get Oscar home. On the way home Lucy made a stop at the toy store for Oscar, he had a bright blue cast wrapped around his arm, but that didn't stop him from being energetic and excited.
"Mommy! I am going to get the biggest toy!" Oscar says jumping happily.

"Why don't we get a small one honey?" Lucy asks and Oscar shakes his head.
"Mr Tim said big one." Oscar frowns and Lucy rolls her eyes, she is currently hitting Tim in her mind right now.
"Fine." She sighs.
"Yay!" He cheers running into the store.

"Slow down buddy! We don't need another hospital trip for another broken bone!" Lucy shouts and smiles.

They go into the toy store and Oscar picks out  remote controlled dinosaur which could roar and walk, a new football and a Lego set and a police costume.
"you really emptied my bank account I swear I said only one" Lucy mumbles as she taps her card on the card machine.

"Yay" Oscar cheers as him and Lucy walk out of the toy store.
"your welcome buddy." Lucy smiles as she ruffles his dark brown hair.
"I want mr Tim to help me build my Lego as I can't do it because of my cast" Oscar says as Lucy straps him into his car seat.
"Hmmm I will have to ask him."Lucy smiles and boops her son's nose before putting the bags of toys in the trunk and getting into the drivers seat.
