Tim was annoyed with everyone, especially Lucy..well detective Chen. It was lunch and Angela and Tim got their rookies to buy them lunch.

Half way through their lunch Nyla and Lucy pulled up. "Hey take a seat with Bradford and Angela. It's on me, your new and I like you" Nyla says pulling out her wallet to buy food for herself and Lucy.
"Do I really want to sit with that asshole?" Lucy grumbles and Nyla chuckles.
"He's alright really. Just going through a tough time" Nyla replies. Everyone has said that, it's made Lucy wonder what has happened to make him be an asshole.

Lucy sighs and nods "see you." She says and walks over to the table with Angela and Tim on.
Tim rolls his eyes and physically tenses, Lucy sighs again and smiles at Angela.
"Nyla said for me to sit here, she'll be over in a minute" Lucy says purposely sitting next to Angela and not talking to Tim.
"We call our superiors by their rank. So it's detective harper to you." Tim snaps and Lucy just shakes her head and ignores him.

"So Lucy, how's your first day?" Angela asks and Lucy shrugs
"Great until I had to come across that ass" she mumbles and Angela breathes out a laugh.
"You were the one who bumped into me this morning." Tim glares at her.
"Well you should have watched where you were going. " Lucy grumbles back and Angela hits her hand off the table.

"Okay that's enough stop arguing like children. Anyway. Lucy why did you transfer? I hear that phoenix police department is meant to be great" Angela asks curiously eating a few fries and Lucy immediately got flash backs to the two uniformed service officers at her door, she takes a shuddering breath.
"I am not talking about my personal life at work" she replies and Angela chuckles
"You sound like Bradford" she points.
Before Lucy could respond Nyla comes back with some food.

"Thanks" Lucy smiles softly and starts eating a few fries.
"Any time Lucy" Nyla replies.
"What's it like having a new partner?" Angela asks and Nyla smiles
"Lucy's great, honestly she sees things ways I would never see them, she's so smart, and just wow! Honestly Angela she's amazing" Nyla praises Lucy, Lucy really needed to hear that especially what she has been through. She thought she was slacking at work because of her mental health.

"She's amazing" Tim mocks under his breath and Lucy sighs and rolls her eyes.
"I'm done. I'll be in the shop" Lucy sighs and gets up, Angela and Nyla frown
"You've hardly touched your food?" Nyla asks and Lucy hands her a twenty dollar bill.
"Sorry. Just take your time" Lucy smiles softly and walks off to the shop.

She gets in and pulls her phone out and watches a video of her son and her husband playing football..his laugh..his smile..she just misses it.

She's really trying to get over his death and grieve and carry on but she can't.
She twists hers and his wedding ring on her necklace and sighs and leans her head back on the headrest, only a few hours left then she can go home.

They watch Lucy walk away to go to the shop and immediately Angela and Nyla snap their heads to Tim.
"Why are you such an ass Tim? I understand everything with Isabel but Tim Lucy's trying to settle in a new station and your making her feel unwelcome" Nyla snaps and Tim just shrugs.
"Lord give me strength, she's fine. She literally threatened me this morning so she must be comfortable. I think there's something weird going on that's why she transferred..or maybe she got fired who knows" Tim grumbles and Angela and Nyla glare at eachother because of Tim's disgusting attitude.
"Or maybe she moved to be closer to family. You don't know Tim, stop assuming. You don't even know her" a Nyla replies and Tim scoffs.
"You two have only known her for what? 6 hours. You don't know why she moved so stop thinking she's like a princess, because she's not. Come on boot let's go" Tim says getting up binning his trash and walking off with John.
"I'm heading off too. See you later Nyla" Angela says getting up and gesturing for her boot to follow.
