---"Fuck off!"
Angel yelled, his pink eyes glaring at his boyfriend. Husk rubbed his temple, turning back to the bar. Angel was crying, his sobs echoing through the empty hotel lobby. As much as Husk wanted to make things right and comfort his partner, Angel was making that extremely difficult.
"Fine."
Husk shrugged simply, pouring himself a glass of whiskey. He listened as Angel stormed up the stairs, hearing the door of their shared bedroom slam. Husk sighed, taking a sip. He knew he'd have to check on Angel, but he figured giving the spider space to calm down would be the best option for now.
Angel ran into the bathroom connected to their room, gazing into the mirror. Splashing cold water on his face, he bit his lip to try and repress the pained cries that left his throat. The mirror stared back at him, as if it was snarling. The mirror told him things he didn't wanna hear, his reflection shifting into glaring pink eyes, red smoke filling the bathroom.
Worthless.
You don't deserve him.
He doesn't love you.
Nobody loves you.
Whore.
Slut.
Used up-
Angel had enough, his fist hitting the mirror in a loud crash. The glass piercing his knuckle as blood poured down his arm.
"SHUT UP! SHUTUP SHUTUP SHUP!"
He screamed at the mirror, collapsing on the tile floor, shards of glass surrounding him. His lower set of arms clutched his stomach, the others arms smearing blood on his tear-soaked fur.
Husk heard the commotion, rushing up the stairs. When he got to the bathroom, he immediately dropped down to where Angel was. He looked around, immediately noticing Angels bleeding knuckles, surrounded by reflective shards.
"Angel? What the fuck happened?!"
"The m-mirror! I-It- I... he was... he was there! V-Val- I-"
Angel couldn't speak, retreating to a fetal position. Husk moved to rest his paw on Angels shoulder. He'd seen Angel have similar panic attacks like this before, but they were few and far between. Husk did what he knew best, shaking off his shock and shifting into a place of comfort.
"Shh.. you're okay... I'm here."
Angel flinched at first, backing away. However, he quickly relaxed when he realized who it was. It wasn't Valentino or a client, but his safe person.
"H-H-Husky...?"
Husk smiled softly, rubbing his back.
"I'm right here sweetheart... you're okay.."
"I-I'm so sorry I-"
"Shhh."
Husk lifted Angel off the ground, sitting him on the lid of the toilet. He grabbed a washcloth, pressing it against his knuckle to stop the bleeding while letting the arachnid nuzzle his shoulder. They stayed in that position until the bleeding stopped.
"I have to go grab bandages."
"P-p-please... don't... go..."
Angel begged, taking hold of Husks arm with teary eyes. He was embarrassed of how clingy he was being, but he couldn't help it. It felt like if Husk let go of him, he'd crumble. Husk sighed sympathetically, bringing Angel close again.
"I'm not leavin..."
Husk lifted Angel back up, causing the spider to squeak before nuzzling back into the embrace. Husk was able to fetch the bandages, and used them to wrap Angels knuckle.
"There. All fixed up."
Angel sniffled, looking up to meet Husks gaze.
"I-I'm sorry... I-I just... I saw V-Val a-and he was s-saying-"
Angel choked out another sob. Husk didn't want Angel to cry again. He never wanted to see the man he loved be in so much emotional distress. He gently brushed a tear away from Angels eyes.
"It's okay, Legs. You don't gotta explain yourself, I understand."
He pressed his lips to Angels temple, continuing to wipe away tears as they fell.
"Niffty will clean the mess... let's get you to bed, alright?"
Angel nodded, sniffling. Husk took them both to bed, laying Angel down on the silky white covers, flopping beside the taller spider. Angel immediately spun back into Husks embrace, sprawling out on his chest, getting as close as possible. Husk wrapped his arms around Angel, covering their bodies with his wings. They laid like that for hours, with Angel finally dozing off. Husk stayed awake, admiring the man sleeping on top of him.
Even in this state, he was just so beautiful.
Husk pressed another small kiss to Angels head, closing his own eyes and letting the warmth of their shared breaths lull him to sleep. They'd talk when they woke up, but for now, words can wait.
