"Colby!" Somebody shouted in the distance, their voice distorted by the thin walls of the apartment.

Andi groaned and rolled over, desperately fighting to hold onto the dream that she had been so rudely pulled away from. Whoever was yelling needed to quiet the fuck down.

Another muffled yell rang through the apartment followed shortly by the loud crash of the front door being slammed open. Andi shot up, her heart beating rapidly as a pair of footsteps thundered through the living room and towards the bedroom door.

Well fuck, they were being robbed.

It was too early for this shit.

"Dude-" Someone said quickly, their voice cut off by a bang.

The bedroom door was thrown open, blinding light flooding into the otherwise pitch-black room. Andi's hands flew to her eyes and she let out a groan.

"Oh, hey brother," A deep voice said. "Long time no see."

Andi quickly opened her eyes and saw Jake standing in the open doorway, his tall figure silhouetted against the bright white of the hallway light. Relief flooded the girl at the sight of someone familiar. They weren't being robbed.

Well.. you actually never knew with Jake.

"Jesus fuck dude!" Andi yelled, throwing a pillow at the boy. "You scared the shit out of me! I thought we were being robbed."

Jake laughed and dodged the pillow that went sailing into the living room. He sprinted towards the bed and belly-flopped onto the covers next to her, letting out a loud burp upon impact.

"Ew you nasty ass-" Andi cried, pushing the boy off of the bed. He landed on the floor with a loud thud, and she was sure that if the downstairs neighbor didn't already hate them they did now.

"Sorry, I tried to tell him to knock first," Another voice said from the doorway.

Andi looked up and saw the blonde boy peering in from the living room. He cringed as Jake let out a loud groan from the floor and gave Andi an amused smile.

"Well I'm glad to know that at least one person here has some sense," Andi joked, moving out of the bed. She threw her arms around the boy and smiled warmly.

"I'm just glad to have the other half of my brain back," Sam smiled, pulling away from the hug a moment later. "How have you been?"

"Oh you know," She said, waving a hand in the air. "Same old same old. Except instead of sleeping on couches I've now upgraded to a bed."

"Sam?" Colby groaned from the couch, his voice gravelly and slightly muffled by one of the cushions. He squinted up at the two of them and let his head fall back. "Why are you here so early?"

"It's one in the afternoon brother," Jake said moving towards the fridge. "Dude, what are you, a vegetarian? You gotta get some white claws in here or something."

"What on earth do white claws have to do with vegetarians-" Andi mumbled, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.

"Sorry man, we just came to see if it was true," Sam said, ignoring Jake completely.

"See if what was true?" Colby asked groggily, turning onto his side to face them.

"To see if homegirl over here was really back," Jake called from the kitchen, shutting the fridge door in disappointment.

"Wait, how did you guys know?" Andi asked. She looked at Colby and he shrugged. "We didn't say anything to either of you. Unless you saw us come in last night, but I highly doubt that."
