After a very stressful run-through of security, and a pat down later, the five of them had managed to check their bags and successfully pass through into the airport. Sam handed out the tickets like the dad that he was and then the group hurried through the vast airport to their gate, almost plowing through crowds of people as Jake quite literally sprinted. They arrived at the gate just on time, panting and sweaty, only for a woman to come on the loudspeakers and announce that their flight had been delayed for the next three hours.

"Oh brother," Jake groaned, dramatically dropping his bag onto the floor.

"Are you serious right now?" Corey complained in between pants.

"God dangit," Sam huffed, leaning his head back to look at the ceiling in defeat.

"Just our luck," Colby dragged his hands down his face in annoyance. "We didn't even have to get up this fucking early."

"Oh for fucks sake," Andi panted, her hands on her knees as her lungs rapidly expanded to take in air. What was up with her and having bad luck at airports recently? "Sam, I'm never listening to you again."

"Hey," The blonde boy threw his hands up in defense. "I didn't know that it was going to be delayed."

"If we don't sit down I think I might actually pass out," Corey huffed, pulling off his hoodie in an attempt to cool himself down.

The five of them looked around for seats, but the gate was completely packed, the only open space being the floor in the corner of two windows. The group dragged their bags over there and plopped down on the ground, exhausted from the sprint across the airport with their carry-ons. They sat in silence for a few minutes as they recuperated, Corey and Andi's pants gradually evening out into regular breaths. Andi was sandwiched in the very corner with Colby on her right and Corey on her left, Sam on Colby's other side, and Jake was sprawled out face-down on the dirty airport floor in front of them.

Eventually, Jake's growling stomach interrupted the comfortable silence that the group had been sitting in, and the boy rolled over onto his stomach and groaned.

"I'm starving, can we please get food?" He whined, bringing his hands together as he begged Sam.

"Jake you literally just ate, like," Sam grabbed his phone to check the time. "Forty minutes ago."

"Wait, Sam, do you hear that?" The red-haired boy quickly held a finger to his lips and grabbed his stomach. The rest of them played along and went silent, pretending to listen in anticipation. Jake's voice deepened significantly as he turned his head away from them. "Samuel Golbach, if you do not feed me I will haunt you forever and take all of your battery chargers."

"Oh no," Sam feigned worry as Jake looked at them in pretend shock. "Not the battery chargers. I guess someone will have to get some food."

Andi anticipated what was going to happen next and her hand quickly shot up to touch her nose. The others followed suit and a second later Colby looked around in shock, him being the only one who had not caught onto the game of nose-goes.

"Andi, how the hell did you know about that?" Colby huffed, running his hands sleepily down his face.

"Hey, don't hate the player, hate the game," She shrugged, smirking at the boy. He playfully glared at her as she stuck her tongue out in a tease.

"Yes!" Sam cheered, throwing his fist into the air. "I didn't lose for once!"

"McDonalds, McDonalds, McDonalds!" Jake began chanting, his fists banging on the ground loudly. Sam, Corey, and Andi quickly joined in, and soon enough all of the people around them were staring at the loud group with dirty glares.
