The flash of a camera pulled Andi from her nap and she groaned, turning her face into Colby's shoulder to shield her eyes. She felt the boy lift his head off of hers as he mumbled out a curse, and she decided to let him deal with it as she urged herself to fall back asleep.

"What the hell guys?" Colby whispered, carefully bringing a hand up to rub the sleep out of his eyes.

"I told you to make sure the flash was off!" Corey whisper-yelled at Sam.

"I swear it was!" Sam fired back, rubbing his neck in embarrassment.

"What the fuck are you guys doing?" Colby asked again, shifting to stare Sam dead in the eyes with a groggy, confusion-filled look.

"He was taking a picture to send to the group chat as proof," Corey answered. "Because you two still fucking deny that there's something going on."

"Because there's not," Colby groaned. "We're just friends."

"No brother," Jake chimed in. "You're in looooooove."

"Ok, dude," Colby sighed. "There is nothing at all going on between us. We're just close friends, nothing more."

Jake turned to the elder lady in his row and pointed at Colby. The woman looked at Colby and Andi with a smile. The red-haired boy put his hands together to mimic two people kissing and the woman laughed and nodded.

"See," Corey said, throwing his hands up. "Even the old lady agrees, and she doesn't even speak English! And she just met us!"

"He's got a point dude," Sam nodded. "I mean you haven't gotten very close to a girl in years, and now Andi shows up and suddenly you're Mr. Romantic? Tell me that isn't a coincidence."

"Good evening everyone, this is your pilot speaking. We have now landed in Springfield, Missouri. The current local time is 1:30 pm. At this time you may stand and collect your luggage. I hope you had a good flight and wish you all a great rest of your day!" The pilot announced over the speakers, indicating that the flight was over.

The four of them began to pack their belongings up and Colby took the distraction as a chance to back out of the awkward conversation, turning to Andi, who was still asleep on his shoulder. He pulled his hand out of hers and gently shook her arm, careful not to startle her. The blonde girl's eyes fluttered open, squinting in confusion as she took a second to wake up from the long nap. She lifted her head off of his shoulder and looked around, seeing that the people in front of them were beginning to grab their bags from the overhead bin. She rubbed her eyes with her hoodie sleeve and smiled up at the boy.

"Welcome to the middle of bum-fuck nowhere," Colby smiled, rolling his shoulder around to loosen it up.

"A little taste of back home," The blonde girl joked, her voice raspy from sleep. She twisted around in her seat to pop her back and then pulled Colby's earbud out of her ear and handed it to him with a smile.

Andi grabbed her backpack off of the floor, slung it over one shoulder, and then shoved her phone in her pocket and stood up. Sam shuffled into the aisle and took a step back to let her and Colby exit first, and the five of them filed past the rows of seats into the exit tunnel.

They made it into the airport and all waited a few moments for Jake to catch up to their group. He had lagged behind to say goodbye to his old lady friend, and the four of them watched in shock as the woman grabbed both of his cheeks and gave him a juicy peck on the lips before taking off sprinting towards the exit of the building. Jake stood frozen for a moment before slowly joining his friends.

"Dude," Andi said, her jaw still on the floor as she let out a loud laugh. "What in the dusty-tits fuck was that?"

"Tell me that old lady didn't just slather her decades-old saliva on my lips," Jake pleaded, profusely wiping his mouth on his hoodie sleeve.
