"You have arrived at your destination," Colby's navigation system announced as Andi swerved into the parking lot of the small town's McDonald's, the front of the car less than an inch from scraping the curb when she parked a second later.
"Jesus fucking Christ, Andi," Corey breathed out, hurrying to unbuckle his seatbelt with shaky hands as the girl grabbed the keys from the ignition.
"I think my balls just fully dropped," Sam was already out of the vehicle and holding a hand over his rapidly beating heart as he inspected the car for any damages that may have been caused.
"Glad I could be of service, Samuel," Andi smiled sarcastically before unbuckling and grabbing her phone.
"Nice deer dodge, brother," Jake smiled, high-fiving the blonde girl with an admiring grin. Compared to Jake's driving, Andi looked like an old lady, so he wasn't at all phased by the high-speed Mario-kart-like ride they had just taken to get to the restaurant.
"Star," Colby said, his eyes wide as he unbuckled his seatbelt. "You are never stepping foot near the driver's seat of the Corolla."
"No offense Colbs," She smirked, stepping out of the car. "But the Corolla couldn't even handle me in its glory days."
"I don't think that car ever even had 'glory days'," Sam laughed as the five of them walked towards the doors to the McDonald's.
"Okay I'm literally going to file an insane amount of noise complaints against you two when we get home," Colby huffed, obviously tired of his two best friends shitting on his decades-old car.
"Dude you know what's so fucking dumb though?" Jake whined, jumping up on the sidewalk next to Andi as they neared the restaurant. "Every time Andi gets a noise complaint fucking Marge files it under MY name. I'm going to get evicted because she's a weirdo who plays Just Dance in the middle of the night."
"But you've only had your own apartment for, like, two days brother," Corey mused. "How many noise complaints could you have gotten in that time?"
"You underestimate me, Corey," Andi shrugged. Colby stepped in front of the girl and opened the restaurant door for her. She smiled at him and passed through. "Thank you, Colby dear."
"Thanks pookie wookie," Corey giggled, blowing a kiss to the blue-haired boy as he followed Andi in.
The delicious smell of greasy food mixed with overly salted fries welcomed the five friends in with warm arms. This was their natural habitat. Colby and Sam led the way to the counter as the group waited in line behind a family of five. Sam looked over the menu as Colby picked at his nails and Corey, Andi, and Jake moved off to the side to gawk at the display housing the series of toys that were hidden in the Happy Meals. They pressed their faces against the glass like little kids and stared in awe at the new Toy Story 4 toys offered.
"DUDE," Jake squeaked, jumping up and down in anticipation. "I want a Happy Meal so bad!"
"You totally should get one," Andi encouraged, nodding enthusiastically at the excited red-haired boy. "I'll take your apple slices."
"Deal," Jake nodded, pretending to spit in his hand as the two shook on it. He turned to Sam and Colby with a grin. "Sam, can you order me a Happy Meal?"
"Dawg, this is why everyone looks at us weird," Corey laughed, soon after giving a devilish smirk. "The right way to do it is to just run by the table and steal some kid's toy while he's not looking."
"Sam?" Jake repeated, the blonde boy not having heard him the first time. "Sam, Sam, Sam, Sam."
"No, dude," Andi shook her head, leaning against the toy display. "The real right way to do it is to corner the kid in the dark part of the play-place and tell him Ronald McDonald is going to eat him if he doesn't give you his toy."
