AUGUST SLIPPED AWAY INTO A moment in time, and September danced closer, bringing with it the excitement of starting a new year at Hogwarts.

But along with excitement came the nostalgia and sentimentality, as Ophelia recalled those days when Draco and Theo used to play with her in the gardens, right before they went off to Hogwarts and left her behind.

Those days when the golden sun rays used to kiss the grassy gardens of Malfoy Manor before the Dark Lord came, and brought a cloud of gloom over the once joyful place, casting the manor under it's shadow for what felt like eternity.

Her mind shifted to those days where they all used to play hide and seek in the many gardens, whilst Narcissa Malfoy and Selene Nott used to have tea under the sun, keeping a close eye on the children.

Her fingers monotonously folded each of her clothes, movements out of memory more than consciousness, her mind far, far back in the past, about ten years ago, when everything was rainbows and butterflies.

Now that she was older, and she tried to recall those very days, trying to remember what Selene Nott was like, all Ophelia could remember was brown hair and a bright smile.

Because Lucius had cast an undetectable extension charm on her trunk, Ophelia could technically climb inside and arrange her clothes as if the trunk were a walk-in closet, and it honestly confused her, why people hadn't done this before— traveling could be so easy.

Lucius had simply written a letter to one of his friends in France, and a week later, a brand new wardrobe had arrived for Ophelia, luxury clothing that hadn't been seen by anyone else, as it had first come to her, even before being exported and showcased.

After arranging all her clothing and shoes, the blonde headed into her closet to pick out her accessories and jewelry. She sitting on the chaise inside the closet, taking a small break from packing, when she caught sight of one of the closed cupboards in the very corner of the closet, where all her childhood clothing and toys were stored— those that she hadn't gotten rid of yet.

She didn't know why she'd held onto these things, nostalgia perhaps, sentimental value... Or because she was too lazy to go through them and sort them out, so she had merely shoved everything into the closet and forgotten about it one day.

Now, however, she was drawn to it like a moth to a flame.

As she sauntered toward it, her fingers grasped the handles of the cupboard and she opened it, fingers instantly curling around a photo album.

Pictures of her, Draco and Narcissa filled the pages, and occasionally, Lucius would appear in some of the pictures.

Everyone looked so young...
