THEO HAD MADE PLANS FOR the summer, which had been thwarted the moment he realized his father was home. He was supposed to come to the mansion, back his belongings, and go straight to the Zabini Chateau, where he would spend his summer.

Blaise's mother was off on another honeymoon that would last for another several months, leaving the Zabini heir full access to the entire Zabini grounds and residence.

He had planned to visit Ophelia at Malfoy Manor at least twice a week, and perhaps as Lucius for permission to bring her here, away from all the death eater business going on, but now that his father was using Lia's safety to turn Theo into a puppet, there was no way the young Nott heir could do anything but follow Tiberius' every command.

Lord Nott had refused Theo to leave the house for almost all of the month of July, and Theo didn't even dare question why, in fear of his father contacting Greyback and putting Lia in possible harm.

Theo strongly suspected his father wanted to keep him locked in the house just so he could keep a close eye on every, single thing Theo did before he received his dark mark. Still, whatever the reason, he never questioned it.

He just stayed in his room.

He was to get his mark at the very end of July or the beginning of August, seeing as the Dark Lord was currently on a secret mission of his own, tracing down Ollivander, the wandmaker after his own wand had failed to kill Harry Potter after the Triwizard Tournament.

Theo would join the Death Eaters when Lord Voldemort returned.

In the mean time, he most definitely was not counting down the days.

He spent all his time in his room, constantly smoking weed and drinking firewhiskey, wishing with every fiber of his being that he was anywhere else but here.

His father would occasionally have company over, other death eaters to come to the mansion to discuss business.

During the first week of the summer, when Theo had realized he would have to go a full month without seeing his girlfriend, he wrote her a letter, telling her not to contact him in any sort of way lest his father find out.

Dear Lia,

How are you? I miss you so fucking much, Principessa. I want you here with me all the time. I know I said I'd come and visit you, but something important came up, and I have to stay at the mansion for a little while.

I promise you though, I'll come to visit you as soon as I can.

In the mean time, don't send any more letters. My father often has company over, and I don't want your letters to fall into the wrong hands.
