NOW THAT THEO WAS OFFICIALLY a death eater, it meant that he was required to be present at all the meetings along with Draco and Lucius, and occasionally accompany the other death eaters to any missions the dark lord sent them on.
Lucius, Draco and Theo always came home late at night, at a time where Ophelia was supposed to be asleep.
She waited up for them anyway, without their knowledge.
Most of the time, if they weren't home by midnight, she would sneak into Theo's room and wait for him there, despite his constant protests.
"You need to sleep in your own room," he would say. "I don't want Mr. Malfoy to find out about us yet..."
"He won't," Ophelia would often assure him, slipping his robes off his shoulders. "I'm careful."
And then, she would kiss him like she hadn't seen him for months.
Today was no different.
The blonde was already waiting for Theo on his bed, reading a book, one of Astoria's. The moment she heard the soft click of the door, she lifted her head up and put the book down, setting it on the bedside.
"Hi," she whispered, sliding off the bed to greet her boyfriend.
"Mm, Lia," Theo murmured, the moment her lips chased after his. "Been eating strawberries again, I see...."
A soft giggle left her, and she wrapped her arms around his neck. "I needed a midnight snack..."
Unfortunately, the happy moment wasn't meant to last. The moment Ophelia moved to slide Theo's robes off, she noticed dark, crimson stains all over.
Throat going dry, she looked at Theo accusingly, her eyes wide and demanding; wanting an explanation.
Theo averted his gaze and cleared his throat. "Some.. some other death eaters were injured," he replied weakly, trying his best to play off the statement as something casual.
Lia saw right through him.
"Who? Which death eaters, Theo?" she commanded, folding her arms across her chest.
"Draco," Theo muttered, his hands coming to rest at her sides, grounding her and trying to stop her from overreacting. "And Mr. Malfoy," he added. "But I swear, Baby. They're fine, it's nothing serious..."
"I knew it!" Ophelia exclaimed, fingers trembling as she ran them through her hair in panic. "I knew something would happen to them—"
"Baby, it's not a big deal, they're fine..." Theo tried to cut in.
