Luna's POV

I was dead asleep when I felt hard tugging and someone yelling my name.

"Luna! Luna get up! Seriously. Your alarm has been going off for the past twenty minutes. You're going to be late."

I groaned.  "What time is it?" I mumbled, sleep still evident in my voice.

"6:50."   "Crap!" I jumped out of bed and hurriedly grabbed my toiletries, only to see that the bathroom was occupied and I still had two siblings ahead of me.

Groaning again, I decided to skip showering. I had gym today so I could just shower after.

I put on some deodorant, and dug through my closet, coming up with a black and white checkered flannel shirt, black ripped jeans and black army boots.

I cleaned the leftover makeup off my face and did a fresh face. I hurriedly ate some cereal and brushed my teeth.

The twelve of us piled into vanzilla and one by one each set of us were dropped off at our schools.

I walked into the halls and leaned against my locker, closing my eyes for a moment.

"Hey. Long night?" I opened one eye to see Sam.

I only mumbled and closed my eyes again.   "Come on. Wake up," she said and shook me.

"Seriously why are you so tired?" Sam asked.

I couldn't tell her the truth so I had to come up with a lie quickly.

"I couldn't sleep."    "Is everything ok?" Sam asked.

"Yeah. Just a bad dream. It was nothing though."

"Hey Luna. You forgot something," I immediately went on high alert when I heard Brooklyn's voice.

"Here." She handed me my leather jacket. "Thanks."

"Well I'll see you later rockstar."

"Why did Brooklyn Daniels have your leather jacket?"

"Uh—" Lucky for me, the bell rang before I had to come up with an answer.

"Oh saved by the bell. Time to get to class," I said.

*********

I struggled to stay awake in my first two classes. Sam had to keep flicking my ear to keep me awake.

I decided to skip lunch and go to the music room to get some sleep.

It wasn't until I heard loud chattering that I opened my eyes and wiped the drool from my mouth.

"Hey there sunshine," Brooklyn said, taking a seat next to me.

Music was the only class Sam and I didn't have together today and of course it had to be the class I had with Brooklyn.

"Why am I on the brink of passing the fuck out and you're so peachy?" I asked.

She opened her bag slightly, giving me a peek of some white pills.

"I call them happiness. They keep me awake during the day so I can party at night, ergo I don't fail my classes, which makes my parents happy."

"Do you want to try one?" "I don't know," I said in a weary tone.

"Miss Loud. Miss Daniels. Something you would like to share with the rest of the class?" Our music teacher asked. "No ma'am," I said.
