Author's POV
Natalie got out of her mom's car with her duffel bag in hand. She stared at the moderate sized house ahead, wondering how it was going to hold so many people.
"Call me before you go to bed tonight ok?" Natalie's mom said. "Ok mom. I will."
Natalie followed behind Lynn's basketball teammates and entered the house which was hustling and bustling with chatter. It was really loud.
"Come on. Don't be shy. Grab a plate and get some food," Lynn said as she pulled Natalie into the dining room.
Natalie didn't really get to talk to Lynn much while they ate as she was engulfed in conversations with her friends. It made Natalie miss her own friends. She was really only here because Lynn asked her to be.
Since she was done with her pizza she decided to explore upstairs. She knew Lynn's room was somewhere upstairs but she wasn't sure where since she had never been over.
As soon as she stepped upstairs, a little blonde girl who was dressed in red and white with her hair in a ponytail grabbed her hand.
"Missy you're back! You can help me with my ribbon dance."
"Actually I'm not Missy," Natalie said once she was inside a room that was pink with princesses with many trophies on one side and another that was filled with cages and various reptiles inside the cages.
"Then who are you?" The little blonde girl asked.
"I'm Natalie. I'm a friend of Lynn's and Missy's."
"Well I'm Lola. Lynn's little sister and pageant queen. You're a cheerleader so you can definitely help me."
"Huh?" Natalie looked down, forgetting that she was still dressed in her cheer uniform.
"Great routine by the way. I'm a dancer and a competitor as well so I know a good performance when I see one."
"Thanks," Natalie smiled.
Lola turned on her music and did her dance.
Natalie thought it was cute and sassy. Lola also had good technique which she was impressed by seeing as the girl was only about eight.
"Well what did you think?" "I think it's perfect. If you do it just like that you'll win for sure."
"Aren't you sweet?" Lola said. Just then another little blonde identical to Lola ran into the room, seemingly chasing something which landed in Natalie's lap.
It was a frog.
"Oh how cute," Natalie pet the frog.
"Awww hops likes you."
"Well I like him too," she said as she handed him to the little blonde girl.
"Who are you?" Lana asked. "I'm Natalie." "Nice to meet you." "I'm Lana," the little girl held out her hand. Natalie accepted it.
"Aww you guys are so adorable," Natalie said and the twins gave wide toothy grins.
"I'm gonna take a shower. I'll see you guys later. Bye hops."
"Okay," both twins said.
When Natalie stepped out into the halls, she realized she had no idea which room was Lynn's."Um which room is Lynn's?" She asked the twins.
