"my head kind of hurts, i'm going to go outside, okay?" i said, feeling the headache coming in as music blasted in every crevice of the house and bright lights shone right into my eyes.

"yeah, okay." jayden nodded, letting me go outside while he still had fun partying inside. it had been 7 months since we started dating, both of us finally warming up to each other. if i had to be honest though, this past week he had been acting a little off. he did things like stay out after 1am every night, hid his phone whenever it was in my eye-line, sneaking out of school everyday. it was seriously getting weird.

i walked through the door, sitting on one of the porch steps. the music was muffled, the lights from inside barely seeping through the windows and doors. i sat there for what felt like hours, paying attention to the few people around me as well as my own flowing thoughts.

"aria," a familiar voice called from above, catching my full attention. once she got the sign that i was listening, she continued. "everyone's hopping in the hot tub now, you coming?" lizzie asked, her eyes beginning to turn red and the smell of cigarettes and weed from the people around sticking onto her clothes.

"yeah, just give me a second." i said, getting up as lizzie walked away, back inside. i made my way inside too, just through another door which led right into the kitchen where jayden had been previously lurking.

"hey, you coming to swim in the hot tub, right?" he asked as i walked through the door, resting his arm on my shoulder, using me as an armrest. i nodded, throwing my dress off to reveal my swimsuit as i walked with jayden to the backyard.

many people were there, some not even from our school. since it was the middle of senior year and the football team had just won an important game, they invited a bunch of people to a party, some from the lacrosse team from another school too.
